💡 As #CleanHydrogen has gained popularity among federal and state policymakers and the private sector, a growing number of community and environmental groups have raised concerns with the fuel, and with their lack of involvement in #hydrogen decision-making thus far. The Western Green Hydrogen Initiative (WGHI) hosted a virtual convening this year that brought together public sector leaders from states with diverse resources, social and political landscapes, and energy needs. Coming from the #hydrogen sector and now in the #waterindustry, it's great to see the link between them out in the open ! 💡 Did you know you need 9L of water to make 1kg of renewable H2 ? 💧 With an ambitious objective of 10Mtons of domestic renewable H2 production by 2030, the Commission should also take into consideration the #waterstress this induces. 🤝 Lets not forget #Energysecurity goes hand in hand with #watersecurity ! This is why the water sector calls adamantly for an #EUwaterresilience strategy.

This should be supported by everyone. For those in health it represents a huge investment in health prevention with cleaner air and a safer climate. Subsidies for fossil fuels should be phased out and used to support such an important initiative. https://lnkd.in/gPE_XMT7
