HEAD as the main sponsor at the WorldChanger Tennis Tournament On Monday 24th we had the incredible opportunity to support the 2nd WorldChanger Tennis Tournament at the Bio- und Wellnessresort Stanglwirt in Austria. This event focused on creating a positive impact and raising funds for the Alexander Zverev Foundation. The tournament was the perfect venue to showcase our prototype tennis and pickleball paddles, developed in collaboration with Toray Carbon Fibers Europe and made from bio-circular carbon fibers (using the mass balance approach). Toray’s bio-circular carbon fibers are created with the waste and residues of biological origin from the start of the supply chain. At the event the guests and many celebrities were able to extensively test the new racquets during the charity tennis tournament. As an environmentally responsible sporting goods manufacturer, HEAD acknowledges that there is still much to be done to reduce harmful emissions and protect biodiversity. Together with Toray, we are committed to further developing these prototypes with a vision of a more sustainable future for racquet sports. #worldchanger #head #enviroment #charity #substainability

Road cycling and investor meetings don't go together? Those who have attended our Stockpicker Summits know that the opposite is true. That's why we're launching a new format: 𝗛𝗔𝗜𝗕 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 🚴♂️ Our concept consists of two components: 1. Investor meetings with a twist We bring European investors together with exciting listed companies. And where better to do this than on a road bike? Admittedly, conversations aren't ideal during an ascent, but they're all the better over a bite to eat afterwards or on the flat sections. 2. Every kilometer counts ❣ To ensure that not only the tour participants benefit but also people in need of help, we will set a charitable cause in advance. Everyone can then decide for themselves how much to donate per kilometer completed. The minimum pledge is €1. The locations will vary. We'll start with 📍 Mallorca! Cyclists know the island is the perfect spot for this format. There are only two conditions: No e-bikes and no Rabobank jerseys :) I am already looking forward to the first rides together. To all investors and CEOs of listed companies: If you're interested in joining our format, feel free to send me a message!

For those that even vaguely know me, you will know I have three earthly passions being family, the planet and football so this week is an important one with two contrasting "days" this week. Monday was #EarthDay and today is #FootballShirtFriday which is raising funds for Bowel Cancer which my Dad sadly succumbed to almost a decade ago. Tomorrow is a big day for my favourite club Derby County but the photo is of Spanish team Athletic Bilbao. Why do I own such a shirt? Well, I recently attended #WindEurope conference in Bilbao and decided to do some research on the football club. What struck me was the fact that the Club (since a 1911 about English players in in their winning cup team) has an all-Basque selection policy. It's resources therefore come from the locality - it aims to be a reflection of it's society. For more on the Club and how that policy has played out see the BBC article - https://lnkd.in/eHguWZt8 That got me thinking about #EarthDay and sustainability. For the last few I have made a pledge (no takeaway cups, no plastic straws, no single use plastic bottles) to try and make progress each year towards helping the planet. This year it's not about one single thing but about an approach - I will look again at where the Cleak household buys from - the obvious area is food and drink where there should be some easy(ish) wins but the aim is to be holistic and have a mindset of "local, local, local" - let's hope I have as much success as Athletic who recently won the Copa Del Rey with Inaki and Nico Williams (brothers born to Ghanaian parents) starring and being pioneers for the Club. PS Come on you Rams for tomorrow! #EarthDay #FootballShirtFriday #sustainability #localproduce #athelticbilbao

On March 18th, 2020, I went for my first-ever run. It's a small miracle to me that I've kept it up, four years later. To celebrate, on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, I'll join thousands of other runners on Yonge St. for my first-ever Sporting Life 10k in Toronto, alongside my sisters from Hill Run Club. I want to make this bigger than my own personal race by asking you to fuel my run with a donation. I have an ambitious goal: to raise $10,000 - that's $1,000 for every km of my race. My dream, after I cross the finish line in one piece, is to be able to make four equal donations of $2,500 to four urgent causes: The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate: About: https://lnkd.in/gHEmmYU3 The Sudan Solidarity Collective: About: https://lnkd.in/gu5ywGRk The Palestine Children's Relief Fund About: https://www.pcrf.net/ Sulala Animal Rescue About: https://lnkd.in/gtKGdsKH Instagram: https://lnkd.in/gHdwDNkN By donating, you'll not only be helping me stay committed to training and actually run this race, but you'll also catalyze a sense of despair and helplessness into meaningful action that could have life-saving impact. Running a 10km race is incredibly daunting. The longest I've ever run in my life is 11k, and have only run 10k a handful of times. It's not an easy distance for me. But the fact that I've stuck with running, no matter how imperfectly, no matter how 'slow' my pace is, for four years, is something I'm incredibly shocked by and proud of. I mostly run on my own; for the comfort of going my own pace. But when I run with Allison Hill and the girls at Hill Run Club, I feel like I can fly. Please consider a donation, no matter how big or small. I launched this fundraiser under 24 hours ago, and have been bowled over by the support. I'm already over 1/3rd of the way there. No donation is too small: I've received $5 to $1000 dollars. The Tour du Lunsar defines the raw beauty of African cycling. Outside of all the work being done by so many great organizations throughout the continent, this amazing grassroots race exemplifies what can be done when passionate people, people who simply love cycling, come together and unite forces. When we worked in Rwanda, we had a phrase: #teamisteam. We all work together, and that includes Team Africa Rising helping our friends in Sierra Leone. Year over year, the Tour du Lunsar has grown and now attracts cyclists from Nigeria, the US, and the UK. But most of all, it is the race Sierra Leonean cyclists live for each year. This is THEIR race! This year has been a struggle with losing a major sponsor, and some of that money has been found with a generous large donation and the ongoing GoFundMe campaign, but here’s the reality: The race budget is $42,840 of which $22,120 is confirmed and an additional $9,450 pending (expecting confirmation). That leaves an outstanding balance of $11,340. That’s where the GoFundMe campaign comes into play. Like most of the US and UK, inflation has taken a huge bite out of the available currency. It is no different in Sierra Leone, probably worse. We need your help. Keep this race a reality -- this beautiful, raw, grassroots source of joy and pride to Sierra Leone. #africarising #makeadifference #sierraleone

What is 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 (DACT)? 🤔 I posted an appeal for raffle prize donations for our 𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥 a few days ago, and thought I should also share some insight into the work the charity does! 💫 𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓 awards grants to pupils/students who attend or have attended Delta Academies Trust Academies, and assists them in meeting one of the following criteria: 🏆 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 🌍 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 💼 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 The key objective is to develop 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. Just a few examples of what the charity has been able to financially support... 🏕 Theo was selected to represent Humberside at the 25th 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞 in South Korea, and was required to fundraise to attend. 🎶 Olivia qualified for the 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐩 2023 in Braga, Portugal. DACT funding helped towards travel and entry fees. 🏒 Wilson selected to represent Great Britain for Ball Hockey in the Under 16s 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 held in Czechia in 2023. DACT funding meant he could get the equipment he needed. 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮/𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓? 🤩 Please take a look at my post from earlier in the week (𝘖𝘳 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦). And if you'd like to read more about DACT and the case studies I've mentioned, I'll link in the comments. #charity #charityevent #lifelonglearning

Providing the journey to becoming the best at something is all about #EQUITY... Para Rowing Foundation’s first question is, “What do YOU need to perform at YOUR best?” PRF’s Intensive Trainings provide the opportunity, tools and professional expertise to allow elite & high-potential para rowers from multiple nations to develop and perform in a ‘national team training camp’ model, sharing facilities with non-para rowers who regularly represent their countries on the world stage. The differences between para and non-para may seem significant at the start. When athletes meet on the dock or in the hotel and explore their mutual passion for rowing, competition and performance they quickly realise they are more similar than different. If you’d like to support an international non-profit by funding more of these Intensive Trainings around the world which help underserved para athletes fulfil their potential please contact PRF at info@pararowingfoundation.org. Headline sponsorships are possible. Let’s explore how to make a difference together. #ParaRowing #everyBODYrowing

The Skate4Air case and how nurturing an online community through User Generated Content can generate a real impact on society. Since 2010, the non-profit organization Skate4AIR has been funding research for Cystic Fibrosis by organising long-distance Ice Skating competitions in Austria and Sweden, covering distances of up to 200km. We couldn’t be prouder to announce that the organization has chosen #Flowbox to help strengthen their community. By embracing a #UGC Strategy and leveraging our platform, they encourage community members to share the cause, thereby raising awareness on the issue and driving more people to join the fight against this hereditary and chronic disease, which currently lacks a cure. Using hashtags such as #Skate4AIR and #opwegnaargenezing, captivating pictures of the events are collected and showcased on their website, portraying the exciting experience and inspiring others to participate. That is not all, through UGC, the organisation can share the real stories of participants as well as volunteers and their personal reasons for joining the competition Skate4AIR, putting a face to the cause. It is undoubtedly special seeing how a community works together towards such an important cause and we welcome the partnership with excitement. We appreciate the trust placed in our solution. We can not wait to see the impact that Skate4AIR’s strategy will have towards research on Cystic Fibrosis. 🌟 We encourage you to visit their website to learn more about their initiative: https://live.skate4air.nl/
