United Airlines, together with Seagis Property Group, held a ribbon-cutting last week to mark the opening of a 165,000-square-foot United Cargo facility at Newark Liberty International Airport that will allow one of the airline’s highest-revenue entities even more space to manage its busy cargo operations. Located at 100 Frontage Road, the facility is a several-minute drive from the airport and increases United’s cargo availability to a net gain of more than 77,000 square feet in facility space and total cargo space at EWR to 319,000 square feet. United said its EWR cargo operation supports more than $450 million in annual revenue, and a 15-20% increase in tonnage is expected by 2026, and around a 30% increase by 2030. EWR is especially vital to the United Cargo operation and represents nearly 30% of its global tonnage and revenue.
