Last week, we joined our partner The Richmond Upon Thames School for their Careers Conference, with a fantastic group of employees hosting workshops for 14-15 year old #students covering topics like CV #writing, careers in #marketing, and what it’s like to work in #events. Students also explored our 'Careers Marketplace', where they had a chance to ask our teams questions and learn more about specific roles and careers. Not only was it a great day, it contributed to Haymarket Impacts commitment to the United Nations SDG 4: Quality Education. A huge shoutout to our amazing volunteers: Kate Stonebridge, Ana Vincent, Edward Craig, James Tute, Jennifer Pirrie, Jonny Davies, Lubtcho Dimitrov, Matthew Griffiths, Prabhleen Chana, Ravjeet Chawla, and Reena Bhari. We've had a fabulous time celebrating and educating ourselves throughout Pride Month at Haymarket! Our special Pride Month episode of Impact Talks had journalists spanning our UK, US and Singapore offices sharing the stories behind the headlines of their #LGBTQIA+ content. Meanwhile in Haymarket Germany there was a delicious Pride-themed bake sale in the office. Our US offices supported Baked in Color, a local bakery committed to giving back to the community, where part of their proceeds raised go towards crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQIA+ youth. And throughout the month we were treated to so many brilliant employee stories, lived experiences, and educational content for both allies and members of the LGBQTIA+ community from around the world at Haymarket. Haymarket celebrated two brilliant wins at last night’s PPA Awards 2024! Our talented Jamie Carpenter from The ENDS Report continued his winning streak by taking home the Editor of the Year (Business Media) award. The judges expressed their excitement for his future endeavours and praised Jamie as "the beating heart of the publication, holding the industry to account”. Haymarket Impact scooped up the Sustainability Initiative of the Year award, with the judges being impressed by our comprehensive approach and technical knowledge applied to making the business truly forward-facing.
