Your ability to mobilise your colleagues (multithread) cross functionally is just as important as doing it with your potential customer. The ability to ask for help internally can be the difference between winning and losing new business. A few things that can go a long way when you meet up with colleagues form different departments: - Be genuine (actually care). - Deal with issues head on (don’t lie to yourself). - Be vulnerable (say what you feel). - Be more self-aware (admit if you’ve done wrong). - Recognition (if they’re awesome, tell them). You can’t ask someone to go above and beyond without the above. If you’re working in department silos (which can be a huge issue when you’re remotely only) then I’d recommend meeting up cross functionally ASAP = unlock that revenue!
Indeed clear communication is always important with your colleague!
