“Do I have to track my food forever?”
Chris was stressing about being the skeleton at the feast,
Eating out of tupperware at family BBQs and bringing a weighing scale to restaurants.
Simple answer?
No. But it does help to track for a little while.
So that you can learn to eyeball things effectively.
I laughed, because I’ve done the “intuitive eating” thing too.
Turns out, intuitively, I’ve got the appetite of a competition strongman.
So I had to dial things back, and learn those skills.
Think of it like this…
If you spend money without structure or thought, you’ll end up bankrupt.
But if you learn to budget effectively, it becomes easy.
Chris had to learn those skills. And nailed them in around 90 days.
Some people take more time, others take less…
But either way, you need the structure before you can have the freedom.
Eventually, you won’t have to be crunching numbers every week.
It’s a pain in the arse at first.
But the benefits last a lifetime.
Let me know in the comments: do you track your food at the moment?
