Creating a strong, engaging website is crucial for any marketing company that hopes to win – and keep – clients. As SRB Communications’ CEO and founder, I knew last year our website was due for an overhaul and our team made its completion a staff priority.
Here are three things our website’s redesign taught me:
1. Consider everything. Our website evaluation incorporated critical thinking about our strengths, values and strategic focus. That exercise shaped our thinking about how to best tell our story in words and in images. After all, we are storytellers.
2. Teamwork is essential. Inviting everyone’s input, especially from younger employees with work experience elsewhere, brought fresh creative energy into the brand work, which significantly improved our decisions.
3. Flexibility matters. Redesigning SRB’s website had competing priorities around our client work. Managing a company and working with people is all about adjusting priorities. That’s what we did. I’m pleased with what we accomplished together.
