Senior Frontend Developer (VueJS) Responsibilities: •      Design and develop effective solutions in a structure that can continue to scale. •      Respect deadlines & ability to turn ideas into a fast, reliable and maintainable code •      Building modular and reusable components and libraries. •      Ensure feature compatibility across multiple browsers & platforms. •      Proactive problem solver. High sense of ownership and responsibility •      Work closely (almost daily) with other team members from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. •      Contribute in User Experience and Usability best practices with compliance to the brand •      Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and VueJS space. •      Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with Vue.js and all project dependencies. •      Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices. •      Assure that all user inputs are validated before submitting to back-end with compliance to security and performance practices. •      Improve SEO through proven practices and guidelines •      Contribute in solution design and architecture. •      Investigates and analyzes verbal and written requests for application Job Requirements: •      Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related subject •      4+ years’ experience in the same field (minimum 1 year in only VueJS) •      Deep experience of JavaScript and Typescript. •      Deep experience of HTML/CSS and CSS preprocessor (SASS or LESS). •      Familiar with UI frameworks like (bootstrap, material UI ... etc) and ability to generate UI ·       patterns to maximize the reusability and scalability. •      Proven work experience with one of the following frameworks (VueJs, Angular or ReactJs). •      Worked on large-scale, e-services projects and have the ability to design scalable, ·       maintainable large apps. •      Able to deliver responsive UI interfaces. •      Experience in UX and picks his choices carefully and based on science behind and product ·       branding with considering the persona (user) of the feature being built. •      Cares about code cleanliness and follows guidelines to deliver high quality code. •      Deep experience of Git version control and branching strategies. •      Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. •      Excellent skills in improving SEO from the frontend code optimization. •      Familiar with frontend Unit Testing and end-to-end testing. •      Familiar with build tools like (npm, webpack, gulp, bower and ...etc). •      Hybrid apps or PWA Ionic experience is preferred. Components are the heart of frontend development. How well you breakdown your components plays a major factor in readability, maintainability of your application. Here are some of the things to keep in mind when I design a component. Consistent formatting: There are multiple ways to format your component. Whether it is arrow functions, function declarations or function expression, all of these are valid ways to create a component but it is important to stick with 1 way of declaring a component in your application. Inconsistent component functions can make your code difficult to read. It is always good to have a base component template. Single Responsibility: Ideally each component should be responsible for a single functionality only. Trying to do multiple things inside one component makes it difficult to read, test and prone to bugs. For example in a list page, the list page should only loop through and render the list item components and finally on the bottom a pagination component. The list item and pagination component will handle its own states and functionalities themselves. Prop Types and Default Props: Defining prop types and default values ensures component reliability. PropTypes validate the expected types of props, catching potential bugs early. Default props provide fallback values if a prop is not explicitly passed, avoiding unexpected behavior. Destructuring Props: Take advantage of the object destructing to access props. This can reduce verbosity in the code and enhance readability. It also improves the clarity of component interfaces and makes it easier to identify which props are used. An example: const {name, age} = props Styling: There are multiple ways to style a component. Such as css modules, utility first css frameworks, UI libraries such, custom reusable styles etc. The most important thing here is to pick a styling of choice and remain consistent with it across components in the library. Testing: Testing is perhaps one of the most severely underrated aspects when it comes to building react components. Here are some best practices to consider: Use libraries like Jest and cypress to write unit tests for your components. Test props and state: Test that your components handle props and state correctly. This can help you catch bugs that might not be apparent in the UI. Test end to end user interactions: Test that your components handle user interactions correctly.
