If you using bootstrap its not a) user-friendly, b) there is no speed in it. c) its not code quality. d) it's definitely not 'stay updated'. e) its not 'best practices ' at all. JQuery is also not a plus. What we can see from that post: you have a lot of legacy and you don't want to migrate on new frameworks. Your pm/manager or who is head of the team absolutely out-of-date in technologies and like ~98% there will be toxic environment and not a good team, cuz if you fail in one thing you also fail in everything else.
