Last week, we started Harvard Summer School "Intro to Entrepreneurship" course, where I have the privilege of teaching the experiential learning component with 8 brilliant grad students.
First of all, being on campus is a dream come true. Less than two years ago, I visited Harvard for the first time, dreaming of studying there. Little did I know that I would be invited to teach and mentor alongside some amazing founders.
Secondly, the energy of working with students in person is unparalleled. They are eager to learn, curious, and incredibly proactive. Be Human(e) has leapt to the next level since we started collaborating last week.
Having 8 fresh perspectives involved in the business development, conducting customer discovery interviews, building lean canvases, identifying jobs to be done, exploring distribution channels, and providing feedback on the product is truly a unique experience!
One of the aspects I cherish most about teaching and mentoring is tapping into each student's potential, nurturing that side of them while providing a broader context and reality check on what it truly means to build a business.
Last summer, I received overwhelmingly positive feedback about my transparency as a leader. Now, a year later—having navigated burnout, made significant pivots, and achieved remarkable progress—I have even more insights to share!
I deeply enjoy discussing the strategies that have driven us to this level of impact and sharing the personal journey it entailed. The feedback from students on how beneficial they find these "war stories" has been incredibly rewarding!
We have a few more weeks ahead, and much progress to make. I can't wait to report back on the outcomes students bring to Be Human(e) and the lessons they've learned along the way.
A special thank you to my best business advisor and mentor, Mike Grandinetti, for this invitation. As a woman in business and an immigrant, having a mentor who passionately believes in my potential and goes above and beyond to help me realize it has been a true game changer! Every successful founder who has made a global impact has had a mentor like this behind them.
I am truly blessed and grateful to live my life's mission, building with an incredible team and having experiences like this that amplify my greatest drive: to make a meaningful impact.
