Say hello 👋 to our biggest hiring class yet—six awesome people who’ve joined our team! The last few weeks have been jam-packed. We’ve had our hands full with some intense training sessions, and our Tampa team even flew in to onboard with our Indiana crew. But it wasn’t all work—we made sure to have some fun too! We took our new team members out for a happy hour around Fishers to show them the local hangouts and get everyone chatting. It’s been a blast introducing them to our community and each other. Here’s to making more memories and tackling new challenges together. So excited to have you all with us! #newHarbahires #teamonboarding #lifeatHarba

CV Engineering Team outing. A company amusement park summer outing is an exciting and effective way to foster team spirit, boost morale, and create lasting memories among colleagues. These outings are not just about having a good time; they're about fostering the strong bonds that make our workplace a second home. The friendships forged on that day continue to brighten our workdays. Such events provide a unique opportunity for employees to unwind, bond, and build stronger connections outside the confines of the workplace. As colleagues unite to experience the thrill of roller coasters, share laughter on carousel rides, and indulge in delectable treats, the outing becomes a dynamic platform for fostering strong workplace relationships. The lively atmosphere and diverse attractions create a shared adventure, enhancing teamwork and promoting a sense of unity among coworkers. #CV Engineering #Teambuilding #CompanyCulture #SummerOuting #EmployeeAppreciation #WorkHardPlayHard.

My boss likes to brag about himself due to how many Eagle Scouts he's hired over the years, especially after receiving the "Scouter's Scoop" on best camping & floating spots throughout The Natural State! I stumbled upon the article, "Why I hire Eagle Scouts: An HR executive weighs in," by Dan Churay, who sheds light on the unique qualities that Eagle Scouts bring to the workplace. Resilience, agility in learning, leadership skills, and effective communication abilities are just some of the attributes that Churay highlights, all of which are cultivated through Scouting experiences. He argues that these characteristics give Eagle Scouts a distinct advantage in leadership roles, based on his personal observations and extensive hiring experience. Having two brothers who also earned the Eagle Scout Award is the cherry on top for our parents; taking advantage of the undervalued time and money of 10 year olds, they bet us $500 that we couldn't do it. They never mentioned that $500 would end up in the hands of Uncle Sam. I attribute the majority of my skills and most notable experiences to the seven years spent in Boy Scouts of America: from the Mile Swim at 5am, to backpacking the Grand Canyon's nearly 50-mile Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim, to building a Hammock Park that now serves as the centerpiece for Northern Bell Park in Greenwood, Arkansas. Countless nights spent camping, scaling rock facias, and kayaking throughout the most inspiring regions defined a special community of differently-minded people who were all brought together for one mission: Do a Good Turn Daily. To dive deeper into Churay's insights, check out the full article below. #EagleScouts #LeadershipSkills #EffectiveCommunication #WorkplaceAdvantage

I’m back after two weeks off over Easter as we welcomed our beautiful puppy into our family. 🐶 The kids are besotted, as am I. 😍 The first two weeks were important, to show him the ropes, teach him the dos and don’ts, educate him on who is who and the roles within our team… almost like on-boarding a new employee! But with the added need to toilet train them. We made a plan in advance - who was doing what and when. The kids were up for it, we felt well prepared. Then this adorable bundle of fluff came home and took over our lives! 🐶 For two weeks he had constant attention, play, grooming and cuddles. Then the kids went back to school and I went back to work and his days changed. Yesterday I could see he felt uncertain, almost lost at times. So we have built a new plan, a routine to give him structure, and I have scheduled walks and play and cuddle time into my day. 🙂 It will be better for him and good for me too! It did get me thinking about on-boarding new employees and how the first few days are often very structured and well-planned with a clear induction in place and lots of people on hand to meet and greet - but how well are new employees supported post-induction? At Roq - Quality Engineering like no other, we have amazing Career Support Managers who help to ensure that everyone feels supported from day one and beyond. Auntie Gill heads up the CSM team and does an amazing job. We also focus on employee experience and Amanda Cole takes the lead in this space and with her passion for wellbeing and all things people, the role is a natural fit for her. It’s definitely a team effort and, whilst we don’t offer grooming or cuddle time, we do tailor the experience to the individuals who are joining. #newemployee #employeeonboarding #dogslife #tuesdaythoughts

Strategic Pause: Embracing the Long Weekend at Continental Kosher Butchers As April heralds the intensifying pace of Passover preparations, our team at Continental Kosher Butchers is taking a moment to underscore the importance of strategic pauses in the midst of significant operational phases. This upcoming long weekend presents a prime opportunity for our team to step back, recharge, and fortify our commitment to excellence. 🚨 Please be advised that in alignment with this approach, our store will temporarily close its doors from Friday, 29th March, through Monday, 1st April (inclusive). This pause allows our team to rejuvenate and engage in valuable moments with family and friends, ensuring we return with enhanced vigour and focus for the crucial days leading up to Passover. 📅 We will resume operations on Tuesday, 2nd April, albeit with limited availability, as we navigate the final preparations for Passover. Our goal remains to provide the outstanding quality and service our clients and community have come to expect from Continental Kosher Butchers. We extend our heartfelt thanks for your understanding and steadfast support during this period. It's these moments of collective pause that reinforce our resilience and readiness for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Wishing our colleagues, clients, and the wider community a restful and rejuvenating long weekend. We eagerly anticipate reopening our doors, reinvigorated and ready to contribute to a memorable Passover experience. #CKBFamily #StrategicPause #LongWeekend #PassoverPreparation #CommunityEngagement #ProfessionalGrowth

🌟 And now for the sports news from Team Wellington Careers and Employment–Ratonga Rapu Mahi! 🌟 Our awesome team at Victoria University of Wellington Careers and Employment is gearing up for some serious FUN as we take on the Victoria University of Wellington staff lawn bowls event on February 17th – just in time for Valentine's Day! ❤️ Here's why we believe team activities, such as lawn bowls, are a game-changer for any work squad: 1. Team bonding and collaboration: Engaging in fun activities outside the office fosters a sense of camaraderie and strengthens the bonds among colleagues. Lawn bowls provide the perfect setting for everyone to connect, share a laugh, and create stories. 2. Physical activity without the sweat: The sport of lawn bowls strikes (get it) the right balance between physical activity and a laid-back atmosphere. It's a fantastic way to get moving without breaking a sweat, making it inclusive for all fitness levels. A breath of fresh air can do wonders for morale! 3. Strategic thinking: Just like in the workplace, lawn bowls requires strategy and teamwork. Figuring out the best approach to each shot, anticipating opponents' moves, and working together towards a common goal – it's a simulation of the strategic thinking needed in our day-to-day work. 4. Laughter for mental well-being: And what better way to relieve stress than through shared laughter? Attempting lawn bowls injects a healthy dose of humour into our team dynamics, building well-being and a sense of perspective (I hope!). So, watch out world, because Team Wellington Careers and Employment is ready to roll on February 17th! 🌿 Let's embrace the spirit of teamwork, strategy, and fun – all while celebrating Valentine's Day in style. 🎉🏆 #teambuilding #lawnbowlsfun #worklifebalance 🌟 P.S. Any ideas for a careers-themed team name? Comment down below.
