💡𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴💡 “The days of classic QCD-Procurement are over!” – this is maybe the most relevant lesson we took from this year’s Procurement Summit in Hamburg. We attended this event, where over 150 speakers and over 1.500 visitors gathered, to talk about the future challenges buyers are facing and connect with other industry leaders. One of the keynotes explained, why today a standard “Quality, Cost, Delivery”-approach is not enough anymore. The difficulties arising due to higher energy costs as well as the need for resilience and sustainability in the supply chains push towards a transformation. This is reflected in our takeaways from this years’ Procurement Summit: 🤝 𝗕𝘂𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 The position of buyers is becoming even more strategically important. Internally, they are facing various requirements from different departments within the company and need to align their work accordingly. Externally, buyers need to manage their supplier-base and bring them on the right track matching these new requirements. 🧠 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲? Unsurprisingly, AI was omnipresent on this year’s summit.
