I really love these creative ideas, which unpack an often overlooked aspect of 'legacy', which I touched on in my book, Living to Finish Well. www.livingtofinishwell.com #legacy #familymemories #memories
Caitlin Baran of EpioneMD, wrote a great post on the process of reflecting on your life and creating something tangible to leave behind for your loved ones. Legacy work can take on many different forms such as: - Writing letters - Creating videos - Creating handprints - Filling out cards for loved ones to read in the future - Curating a photo collection, a photo album, a collage, or a scrapbook - Putting together a collection of family recipes and holiday traditions - Celebrating milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, or weddings - Sharing stories: through videos, writing, music, or drawing. These can be stories about yourself, your family, or experiences with a loved one. Becoming wealthy doesn’t happen by accident. Today, I was back at the @fsucom to talk with second year #medicalstudents about #taxes. In preparation for this talk, I ran across the Medscape Physician and Taxes report, which found that, in 2022, #physicians, on average, paid around $100,000 in federal and state taxes. If you multiply that out over the course of a typical working career, that amounts to millions of dollars paid in taxes! Now, that figure is surely inflated by some doctors with particularly high incomes, but even doctors on a more modest salary, with sound #taxplanning strategies are still paying tens of thousands of dollars per year in taxes, and it adds up. Now, contrast that with another Medscape report that finds that a quarter of doctors who reach a traditional retirement age aren’t even millionaires. That is, everything they own, minus everything they owe doesn’t add up to a million. That means there are doctors at or near retirement who have paid significantly more in taxes than they’ve kept for themselves! I always say, everyone can become a millionaire, but not everyone does, and #doctors are no exception. Just because you can earn a high income doesn’t make you wealthy, but with a solid #financialplan that takes taxes, investing and more into account, you can build wealth for yourself and your family. Again, becoming wealthy doesn’t happen by accident. #buildingwealth #medicaleducation #secondyear #doctorfinance #medicalresident #physicianfinance #financefordoctors

Subject: Don’t Miss This: Unlock the Secrets to a Wealthy Retirement - No Time Machines Needed! Hey Future Millionaires and Billionaires, Are you tired of scrolling through LinkedIn, only to find another post about someone's work anniversary? Let's shake things up this Saturday with an event that could change the way you look at your golden years - and no, it's not another webinar on blockchain (though we love those too). Here’s why you should RSVP "Yes" faster than you can say "compound interest": 1. Latest and Greatest for Seniors (and Soon-to-Be Seniors): Whether you're already enjoying your retirement or still planning your escape from the 9-5, we've got insights that are hotter than the latest TikTok dance craze. 2. Bye-bye, Tax, and Inflation Blues: Got a 401-K or a 403(b)? Let's talk about making your money do the cha-cha away from the taxman and inflation. Because let’s face it, nobody likes seeing their hard-earned cash get nibbled away. 3. Living Longer, Living Better: Thanks to technology, we're all going to be here for a while (which is great news for your Netflix queue). But will your bank account keep up with your binge-watching habits well into your 90s? Let's ensure your lifestyle doesn’t have to downgrade to "student mode" ever again. And here's the kicker: This event is for everyone - whether you're 65, 50, or still celebrating the anniversary of your 29th birthday. We'll dive into the mysteries of Social Security, Medicare, and Long-Term Care, and even explore how to fund those big dreams without flirting with bank loans. So, if you're intrigued by the idea of having your cake, eating it, AND still having leftovers (because who doesn't love leftovers?), then this is the event for you. Mark your calendar: This Saturday, February 24, at 11:00 AM PST, your future self will thank you. Here’s the Link: https://lnkd.in/gypfbuKD P.S. There might be an actual cake. Looking forward to seeing you there, Moné Swann P.P.S. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and maybe even your dancing shoes. This won’t be your typical financial seminar. Let’s make retirement planning fun!
