BE INTERESTED Great opportunity as New Foreign Affairs Policy (2001) is reviewed, seeks public opinion. From Principles that define Motherland #Tanzania🇹🇿, Goals and Strategies necessary for its implementation, it’s extremely important for different groups’ to be incorporated. BE INTERESTED! My two cents: Here sharing the need to align our talk outside the when we pitch of why one should invest here or come visit with how our deeds reflect back home… from top government officials to the last ward/ village executive; from top politicians to the constituents; from public servants to private sector… our story must be aligned. That way, we can ride on word of mouth. Let’s face, after any brilliant sales pitch out there, be sure that interested CEOs / investors out there, will always go to their counterparts already operating here (inbox) to seek a second opinion. That is word of mouth 👄. Very critical. Very powerful. Our story better be consistently great. How do we do that? Some reforms in civil service mindsets coupled with strategic communication to create collective public awareness and understanding could some of the options worth considering. That, coupled with a communication strategy that is widely inclusive to the media at all stages in the review of the 23 year old policy, I.e. from initiation, views collection, it’s passing, implementation and evaluation, will go long way in keeping ourselves in check and laser focused. The media need to be part and parcel of these policies rather than relegating it as a mere ‘spectator’ at the point of unveiling or launching ceremonies. 👑 GOD SAVE THE KING 👑 Creative PR in a conservative environment as diplomacy? Eva Bouchalová, her team, and His Excellency #JsemTuNovej have shown at the event hosted by British Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic and PR Klub that it can work—with tremendous results both on social platforms and media outlets! What an inspiration for (Czech) Government bodies and private companies to communicate the new Head in such a creative and highly efficient way. 💡 What has been told (among others):   - In the modern world, comms is as important as policy; - Making the #JsemTuNovej campaign could not happen without continuous support from His Excellency Matt Field, the UK Ambassador to the Czech Republic (the old truth - if a communication person doesn't have proper support from the top, their actions are limited); and - The campaign cost almost nothing since it has been created internally. 📢  The team faces a new challenge - keeping momentum since His Excellency is no longer "novej." As I spend a few days in my hometown, Bari, nestled in the warmth of Southern Italy, to attend family matters, I find myself reflecting on the contrasts and connections between here and Brussels, where I work and live. Brussels, and in particular the Brussels we use to call the 'Euro Bubble', is a melting pot of policy-making, lobbying, and strategic engagements, shaping the future of Europe. It's a city where diverse cultures intersect, creating a vibrant mosaic of European unity. Yet, as I stroll through the familiar streets of Bari, where the rhythm of life dances to a different beat, Brussels seems not just geographically distant, but culturally and politically too. This contrast, however, isn't a divide but a reminder of the rich tapestry that is Europe. It underscores the importance of ensuring that European values of democracy, unity, and cooperation resonate as strongly in the bustling corridors of Brussels as they do in the serene alleyways of Bari. In these moments away from the Euro Bubble, I'm reminded that the heart of Europe beats not only in its institutions but in its farthest corners, in towns like Bari. The essence of our work in Brussels is to uphold and spread these values, ensuring they are felt and lived across the entire union. It's crucial that we bridge these distances, not just geographically but in hearts and minds, fostering a Europe that is united in its diversity. A Europe where the policies made in Brussels resonate with the daily lives of those in Bari, and vice versa.
