Airbus To Raise A350 Production Further, Confirms 2023 Delivery Targets Backed by several recent major orders for the type, Airbus has decided to increase the production rate of the A350 family further. The manufacturer confirmed Nov. 8 that monthly output of its most important widebody will increase to 10 aircraft per month in 2026. Airbus also specified the target to bring the A220 up to 14 aircraft per month—a rate now also to be achieved within the next three years. European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has forecast that North America’s commercial aircraft services market will increase in value by 45% between 2023 and 2042.  Currently the commercial aircraft services market in North America is valued at $31 billion but by 2042 Airbus believes this will surge to a $45 billion industry.  Details regarding Airbus’ predictions were included in the company’s Global Services Forecast (GSF), which also commented that the demand for services will be driven by demand, fleet evolution and aircraft replacement.  Read more at: https://lnkd.in/dGRVmzKd #AviationTalk #aviationnews #avgeek #aviation

Cirium Ascend Consultancy completed another review of Boeing 737 Max and Airbus A320neo family values and lease rates at the end of November, and while evidence pointed to values being stable, there were significant increases to lease rates of around 10-11% for most variants and 5% for the A321neo. Another busy and engaging #ISTATEMEA event has wrapped up in #London. Always great to #connect with colleagues and friends while making new connections for XINATIS. There was a great energy and constant buzz with many commenting that the #aviation industry is back in full swing. XINATIS has been very active and engaged in multiple transactions and our thanks go out to everyone that showed interest in the #opportunities we're working through over the next 6 months: #aircraft #financing for ATR72s, Embraer190s, BOMBARDIER Globals, and Gulfstream Aerospace G550s. Other transactions on the horizon are expected for Airbus Helicopters in early #2024. The demand for #cargo aircraft has declined significantly and aircraft trading in the widebody segment has practically stalled. We certainly see a dramatic decline in #turboprop #freighter demand and a reallocation of #MRO resources and slots towards other #aircraft #maintenance. As expected, the year-end focus is on closing up pending transactions. We also noted a sense of diminishing interest in new technologies such as #hydrogen and #electrification while there is a greater maybe short-term focus on #SAF (sustainable aviation fuel). Rising interest rates will greatly impact near term aircraft #investments while longer term strategies will continue to evolve as market demand rebalances the entire #aviation industry. Why Are The Engines On The Airbus A340 So Small? During the conceptual design phase of what would become two of the popular widebody jets, Airbus discovered that North American carriers wanted twin-engine aircraft, primarily for their inter-regional operations. On the other hand, airlines in the Asia-Pacific region needed a four-engine aircraft for long-haul operations across the Pacific.
