You hold more power to create a positive work environment than you can even imagine. It's possible that that power is not to make decisions that have a company-wide impact, but definitely the kind of power that can change one life or the way a small team operates. Don't relinquish that power. Believe in it. Embrace it. Use it. You can make a difference. These are eight things worth repeating everyday. Believe them, because that's the kind of leverage you have in HR.
9th : I will take care of myself. If HR people care about employees, who takes care of HR people ? Do we know the %age of burn-outs among HR vs general population ?
No doubt small deliberate acts have a big influence that can spread throughout a company, fostering a healthy work environment. Thank the people in your team for their contributions. A simple "thank you" or acknowledgement of their accomplishments can uplift spirits and foster a positive environment. Give your team some time to be heard. Recognize their worries, difficulties, and goals. People are more driven and engaged when they feel heard. Be willing to meet each person's needs. Encourage professional development; even tiny actions can have a big influence. By creating a supportive atmosphere, you enable your staff to succeed. quickly.
It all sounds wonderful, if only HR and other team leaders knew "How". For some people, all of this will be a "mission impossible," as they are guided by completely different values and are simply not able to act as written above. This brings me to a point I always share with HR: when you hire a person, you should get to know their level of development (value-based) so you will know immediately what to expect. Do not mix "leaders" with "creators" —two different types of people! Both are needed, but we need to split responsibilities accordingly. Not all professionals are able to be great leaders, and we should start to accept this.
I agree! These have been my point of view in carrying out my work as a leader and HR. I love this insight, would definitely hold on it more. Thank you!
I agree! HR helps make work better by supporting everyone's well-being and making sure people are happy and productive. They help build a good company culture, which keeps great workers around and makes everyone feel positive. 💥💥
Love this
Thanks for sharing but strongly believe its applicable for everyone managing the team till the Top ...to build a great company culture
The power to create a positive work environment should never be underestimated. Every action, no matter how small, has the potential to impact someone's life or the dynamics of a team.
Good insight!
Make today matter.
5dSound like mantras applicable to all people at work.
