In memory of my father, my uncles, cousins, ancesters and to all the brave Americans who served our country and protected us from forces foreign and domestic, I salute you and say thank you for your service.

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sea Watch International, Ltd.!

Leroy "Barney" Truex The Seafood industry has lost a legend and the Clam industry lost an Icon. Barney Truex passed away in the early morning hours of August 11, 2022. You dont't earn the status of Legend or Icon by participating, you earn it by leading, innovating and taking risk. These are the very things that set Capt Barney apart from the rest even at an early age. He went to work on a clam boat at the age of 16, later joined by his brother Martin Truex Sr along with Jim Meyers his brother inlaw to form TMT. Led by Barney the 3 of them built an empire at sea and later acquired the largest Surfclam and Ocean Quahog processor in the country, Sea Watch International. His leadership cultivated countless contributions to the industry in the areas of harvesting, processing and sustainability. His contributions to industry can only be outdone by his loyalty and dedication to his family and friends. Thank you Capt Barney, you will live forever in our hearts.

It is with Great sadness that I share the news of Dan Murphy's passing. Dan joined Sea Watch in January of 2020 just before our foodservice world collapsed. Dan thought he joined Sea Watch to put us on a growth path but 60 days after he joined, he became a leader in our survival. Dan's knowledge of the Seafood and Foodservice industry was invaluable to Sea Watch in staying the course through troubled waters. That strength and resolve comes from the wisdom of decades leading sales organizations the likes of Icelandic USA, Trident and Seawatch. As many of you can attest Dan worked a room better than anyone in our business because Dan truly loved people, you cannot fake that. You never went to dinner with Dan, you went to dinner and a show, and Dan was the ring leader. Whether it was Kareoke at the dinner table or Pickle Ball on the court, He kept things lively. I am sure that you all have many stories to tell, feel free as Linkedin was one of Dan's favorite venues. Guy Simmons and the whole Sea Watch Family will miss Dan Murphy.

Sea Watch International and the entire commercial fishing industry are facing a process that could systematically remove all of us from traditional fishing grounds that started the economic revolution in the United States 400 years ago. The Mid-Atlantic Bight is one of the richest fishing grounds in US waters and Foreign Wind developers want to build massive wind farms on these historic fishing grounds.
