Saudi Arabia’s transformation was on display at #GCF2023 in Riyadh. Under the vision and leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (#mbs), many new sectors are emerging around e-sports, transition energy and artificial intelligence. As with all emerging technologies, cybersecurity remains a critical success factor.
President & CEO of aramco Amin H. Nasser, opened the conference, underscoring the critical nature of cybersecurity for one of the world’s largest companies. Such actions, supported by the Saudi National Cybersecurity Agency, reinforce the nation’s resolve to secure a technologically advanced society and realise #mbs's vision.
This vision is reflected in substantial investments from NEOM and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to position the Kingdom as a pioneering force in digital entertainment, advanced industries, and sustainability. This has drawn global interest from big organisations like Oracle, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as smaller firms like Saltwater Games and Twenty20 Energy.
Each year, I observe a tech landscape in rapid evolution, underscored by a
cybersecurity infrastructure poised to combat future threats, including those
posed quantum technologies. Innovative firms Arqit and DETASAD are helping keep Saudi Arabia safe from quantum attacks.
I've witnessed two decades of Saudi Arabia's progression and the GCF is a testament to the nation's commitment to cybersecurity and the embodiment of the comprehensive national transformation inspired by #vision2030 and the leadership of #mbs.
