Have you selected your 2024 corporate challenge? Interested in how you could make a meaningful impact to the 57,000 people fed daily by Foodbank Victoria, and have a unique experience at the same time? Let me introduce you to Fruit Loop. Fruit Loop is a fun, new corporate challenge from Foodbank Victoria. The goal is to pick 50,000 apples straight from the trees at The Orchard At Montague. Montague will generously donate all the apples, which will be distributed through a network of 500+ charities who access Foodbank food every day.   Teams of four will battle it out to pick the most fruit, and help raise much-needed funds for Foodbank along the way.   And... After a big day picking, teams will be treated to a celebration dinner at The Orchard, with guest speaker Ben Shewry (Chef and Owner of Attica, one of Australia’s most acclaimed restaurants), followed by an overnight stay at Hyatt Place.   The fine print... - Fruit Loop will run on Friday March 1, 2024 at The Orchard At Montague, Narre Warren. - Entry for a team of 4 is $4,000 + GST and includes food and beverages throughout the day, a celebration dinner, and twin-share overnight accommodation. - Individual team members are asked to commit to the $1,000 individual fundraising target (please take a moment to read the FAQs and T&Cs, point 5-6-7 in particular, accessed via the link in the comments). 💛 Matchmade – Shopping centre space repurposed for brilliant charity. ASTOP LIMITED was one of the very first businesses ever to join A Good Thing, just a few days after we launched our pilot in February 2021. ASTOP’s mission is transforming unused spaces for good causes, right across the UK, and as such the firm is a brilliant partner for A Good Thing. In the spring the firm offered some office space in Plymouth via A Good Thing, and more recently ASTOP listed space in both the Midlands and Buckinghamshire. The High Wycombe space immediately caught Colin McGregor-Paterson’s eye at The Oasis Partnership charity – an organisation that engaged an amazing 700 individuals in Chesham last year: “It couldn’t have come at a better time. The Summer(!) is nearly over, the kids are going back to school and your colleagues will soon begin to settle down for the Autumn slog at work... asking themselves whether they should go into the office more often or maintain their hybrid / working-from-home routine. Speaking with lots of different people at many of the companies that support Forever Manchester, there is a general consensus that getting back in the office more regularly is hugely beneficial to everyone. Not only does the office environment encourage brainstorming and collaboration, it also provides the opportunity to bond with your colleagues. And 'after-work' provides the opportunity to socialise too. Many of the businesses that support us love the fact that Forever Manchester provide a wide range of opportunities throughout the year for them, and their people to get involved in - whether that’s a quiz night, football tournament, a comedy night, a birthday ball, a 10K run, abseil and even opportunities to bake cakes! As a #charity, Forever Manchester needs to continually raise money to fund and support over 1,300 community groups across #GreaterManchester each year. But, we’ve never been a charity that rattles a tin expecting to be given money.... we like to give something back in return. Going back 11 years ago, we even made a short video to highlight the very point. https://lnkd.in/evKxwtnR And to be quite honest, we actually enjoy mixing and mingling on a social basis with the people that support us. You know why? It’s because they share our values and they care, just as much as we do, about the people who live and work in our local communities. Trying to arrange social nights out can be difficult sometimes, trying to find somewhere new to go or something that appeals to everyone. So wouldn’t it be great if it could be done for you?
