𝗔𝗟𝗣𝗛𝗩 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗺𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗙𝗕𝗜: 𝗔 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗮 1️⃣ On the dark web, the FBI was unexpectedly confronted by the notorious ALPHV/BlackCat ransomware gang, according to The Cyber Express. What initially seemed routine quickly transformed into a high-stakes game of cyber espionage. 2️⃣ The FBI, armed with insider information, launched a decisive move to seize control of the gang's darknet website. Their goal: to disrupt the criminal syndicate's operations and protect potential victims. However, the gang was quick to retaliate, reclaiming control of their site multiple times and setting off a tense back-and-forth struggle. 3️⃣Despite the gang's efforts to maintain their grip on the dark web, the FBI's persistence paid off. Through meticulous monitoring and infiltration, they managed to seize the gang's websites and decryption keys, preventing millions of dollars in ransom demands. 4️⃣ But the story didn't end there. The ALPHV gang, undeterred by the setback, adapted their tactics and expanded their targets, posing an even greater threat to organizations worldwide. Meanwhile, dark web conversations between rival cybercriminal groups revealed an unexpected level of camaraderie in the face of law enforcement pressure. The takedown of ALPHV was no solo effort. It involved a coordinated multinational operation, with agencies from around the world joining forces to combat cybercrime. And we are ready to join forces with #Abatis, our premier cybersecurity solution on the market. #cybersecurity

Scattered Spider group a unique challenge for cyber cops, FBI leader says. Why it matters: 1. The FBI is striving to adapt and innovate in its fight against the hacking collective Scattered Spider, known for its use of social engineering and targeted ransomware attack on major companies in the U.S. This represents the ongoing challenge cybersecurity faces in staying one step ahead of evolving threats. 2. Cooperation between the private sector and law enforcement is critical, as it can provide valuable insights and indicators of compromise that can drive disruption operations. The FBI emphasises the importance of victims reporting breaches promptly. 3. The FBI's ultimate goal against hacking groups is to dismantle and disrupt their ability to target U.S. entities, but engaging with resilient and decentralized organizations like Scattered Spider poses unique challenges, suggesting a need to rethink strategies. On February 21 I posted that the public shouldn't write off the future of the #Lockbit ransomware gang. #LockBit operations dismantled following international takedown by a global coalition of law enforcement partners which seized the #infrastructure of the prolific #ransomwaregroup, obtaining decryption keys along the way. This has of course happened before only for a similar group to crop up. Don't get your hopes that this threat is over. I was CORRECT! They're back! https://lnkd.in/gHsAvh23 Follow me at #RichardFreibergCPAPC or #RichardFreiberg if you want to #learn how the world’s most advanced cybersecurity technology that eliminates #ransomware, #malware, #technology #phishing #cybercrime, #fraud, and #informationwarfare OR if you're concerned about making #frontpagenews resulting from a #databreach or other #cyberincident
