Hello Network, As I embarked on my post-graduation journey, my career advisor suggested two tasks: reading "Designing Your Life" by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans and reaching out to professionals in my desired fields for conversations. These “prototype conversations”, a term I learned from the book by Burnett and Evans, have provided me the chance to visualize my potential career paths. These paths include Change Management, Leadership Development, Learning and Development, Recruitment, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The knowledge and practical insights from these individuals have significantly enriched my understanding of the areas I am passionate about. My term as Deputy Director of University Technopreneurship Centre ended on June 30, 2024. A huge burden has been lifted, and a new chapter begins for me. I am confident that the new replacement will execute all the plans laid out and successfully carry out all duties. During this 2.5 years, I have learned a lot about leadership, managing projects, creating and maintaining networks, handling student programs, and more. High GPA ✔️ Wealthy Family ✔️ Private tuition ✔️ Elite University ✔️ Work placement at family’s company ✔️ The person above is successful, in part, because of their background. By contrast, if we build our teams with people that are brilliantly talented at something, but they attended less prestigious schools and have an undervalued resume, it’s likely that their parents didn’t spend a fortune to develop their talent. Some of the best leaders I’ve worked with in my career were successful despite their background. 😉 #leadership
