80% of Success is Showing Up Sometimes all you need to win is to be the one to show up. Sometimes it is just showing up at the right time and place. Other times it is showing up again and again. At networking events, at pitch nights, with email updates for investors, and with your sales pitch for B2B and B2C users. Likewise, it doesn’t matter how great you and your product is if you are not continuously showing up. Show up, show up, show up. Close the deals, get the money, scale it.

We all love a time-saving hack don't we. Well you're about to save years in this post. Growth of your client base stems from three main sources: - New clients (more traffic, more sales) - Existing clients (upsell, cross-sell) - Partners (referrals) When you're start out or new to business (like myself) - new clients tends to be the biggest source because you're rolling your sleeves from the ground up. On which you either have a marketing problem or sales problem. Either way, to find out more about these topics and save even more time, you're invited IRL in London! ➡️ Here is the link to sign up : https://lnkd.in/eS8ns83w

Thursday was an absolute blast. Super thankful to have been able to host my first SDR of London event with the team last week. For those of you who weren't able to make it, here are my main 3 takeaways. 1/Objections are meant to be understood: Rather than reciting a cheesy/pre-rehearsed line, seek to understand why your prospect is saying what they're saying and react accordingly. 2/Talk about problems, not features: Rather than speaking about features learn the language of your prospects and speak in the business and operational problems they face that you can solve. People buy solutions, not shiny features. 3/Collaboration is key: Hearing other SDRs share their approaches helped me reflect and sharpen mine. Never let ego get in the way of self-improvement. The event was a great success and can't wait to host many more - shoutout to: Zara Arshad-Roberts Lewis Gadsdon Izzy Bishop Ben Smith Emma Ward 🌜Lauren Reeves Harry Monkhouse Sean Ryan. For now, here's a shot of me playing the air piano.

Creating awesome e-commerce experiences | Shopify Agency | Giving Value, Solving Problems & Fuelling Growth
Bringing in the new year with a bang! (can we still say that on 8th Jan?) Looking forward to hosting and facilitating the Monthly Meetup for the BD Matters community on 17th Jan. The session is an opportunity to ask questions, listen, learn, and vent! Attendees can bring anything they want to discuss such as: 🤔 A big pitch that they’ve got coming up and want some advice ✅ They want to discuss what's working (and what's not) 💭 They have an approach they want to try but not sure how to implement it and want to know about other’s experiences about it 🛠 They need a recommendation on tools or processes that would make their life easier For newbies, BD Matters is a bunch of talented business developers, salespeople, and demand generators looking to grow their skills and their pipelines. It's for people who love sales and are proud to shout about it. Having been part of this community for a few years, it really is great and brings the best of the BD community and anyone who loves sales together. Link in comments

We're in the middle of our SDR QBR this week, so I wanted to share a highlight from Q2. As a result of some killer work from Nada H. and Rupert Beggs, a prospect reached out to me unsolicited to share some love. We put a lot of time and effort into building an SDR program that optimizes for learning discovery skills and being a consultative seller - so when it's well received, I get HYPED. p.s. for SDRs who want to find themselves at a place where learning is the focus, we are hiring at Klue in Vancouver and Toronto. p.p.s. for those who are starting their journey as an SDR, here's one tactical discovery skill: force yourself to ask one more question before you pitch. That will click you into your curious brain and will by default give you more to pitch to. p.p.p.s this was a rip and replace account 💁♀️
