🚀 𝐀𝐈, 𝐌𝐋, 𝐈𝐨𝐓, 𝐀𝐑, 𝐔𝐗, 𝐒𝐚𝐚𝐒 - 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐄𝐈? 🌟 🦍 Reflecting on my leadership journey over the past few years, I discovered a crucial yet often underrated skill: Emotional Intelligence (EI) - or Emotional Sovereignty. In a recent conversation with my manager, we identified my key goal: Further strengthening Emotional Sovereignty to enhance my effectiveness as a leader through conscious reflection, active listening, and recipient-oriented communication. This might seem like the hidden strength of a gorilla—powerful & essential, yet often underestimated. 🦍 EI is the core of effective and successful leadership. It involves recognizing, understanding, and managing our own emotions and those of others. Diving deeper, I found key components that drive EI: 🧠 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Leaders with high EI are aware of their own emotions and can manage them, preventing impulsive actions and supporting objective decision-making even in stressful situations. 🤝 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 Empathetic leaders understand their team members perspectives and needs, enhancing trust and loyalty. Through active listening and creating a supportive environment, they can resolve conflicts more effectively and boost team motivation. 🌟 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 EI helps leaders inspire and motivate their teams. By setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing achievements, they contribute to higher employee satisfaction and productivity. 🌍 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 In a constantly changing work environment, the ability to quickly adapt is essential. Leaders with high EI can guide their teams through changes and minimize resistance. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗜: 👂 Active Listening: Engage in listening and understand others perspectives. 💖 Show Empathy: Feel and address the emotions and needs of your team members. 🔍 Self-Reflection: Regularly reflect on your emotions and their impact on decisions. 🚀 Understand Motivation: Know and leverage the individual drivers of team members. By consciously developing your emotional intelligence, I think leaders can enhance their own effectiveness and improve the well-being and performance of their teams. #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #ProfessionalGrowth #EffectiveLeadership #PersonalGrowth References - [Harvard Business School Online](https://lnkd.in/dRZ3HvDr) - [Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)](https://lnkd.in/dh9kW7S5) - [Leadership Girl](https://lnkd.in/d7DvpmXv) - [Harvard Resource Solutions](https://lnkd.in/dCpt26eF)

Dear Stefanie, I think everything you mention is important. For people who want to set off, the question arises: where do I start? In my opinion and many years of experience, it all starts with self-awareness. For example: "What exactly was it that made it so difficult for me to listen to Xy empathetically?" Self-reflection as a necessary condition for self-awareness. All other elements may develop from it. Thanks for your insights🌻 But: there is so many to talk about🤷♂️

Great insights that require a huge sense of selfconsciousness, Kudos!
