Paramount has agreed to #merger with Skydance marking the latest turnaround in a #deal people had thought fell apart just weeks ago. The final terms involve Skydance buying @National Amusements for $1.75B and then Skydance would merge with Paramount as sourced tonight by the The Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal is out with some breaking news about Sam Bankman-Fried and the role his family played during his now infamous 2022 election contributions. While his parents are well know #Democrats and Stanford University professors this breaking news is that his father, Joe Bankman, a #taxlawyer advised Ryan Salame on his illegal contributions, via FTX stolen client funds. This could potenitally extend the legal case to Joe Bankman that knew, as a #taxlawyer, that these contributions and the structure would have been illegal as an accomplice to the crime that Ryan Salame is scheduled to serve seven years for. Ryan has won a temporary stay against the Federal Trade Commission legislation to partially block #NonCompeteAgreements until mid August 2024. Importantly this was decided in Texas but applies nationwide since the Federal Judge belives that the case will succeed when it comes to full trial later this year.
