Canary Media Inc. reporting on the recent Berkeley Lab interconnection study: "At 2.6 terawatts, the interconnection queue is now about double the size of the entire existing U.S. electrical grid. The problem has swelled in recent years as emissions reduction goals, clean energy subsidies, and falling costs have spurred unprecedented interest in building renewable power. In 2023, a typical project took nearly five years to make it through the queue." This issue represents one of the most significant hurdles in transitioning to clean energy: we all know that decarbonizing the U.S. requires a substantial change in our electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. That's why we at GridUnity have focused on streamlining the interconnection process for developers, ISOs/RTOs, and utilities. Learn more about how this works for utilities (https://lnkd.in/eVRVp6GX) and RTOs/ISOs (https://lnkd.in/eAshtRJZ) on our website. #decarbonization #electricutility #rto #iso #utilities #interconnection
