How is it possible that ideas we resisted for years or considered completely foolish suddenly seem like the best ideas at a given moment? I've noticed two things when this happened to me: I resisted it for years, even though I knew it could solve many problems; I simply didn't want to accept it due to some stubborn belief. The other thing is perspective... As a creative, I understand how a shift in perspective can illuminate things in a different light. In my case, a challenging life situation led to a change in perspective and a friend's suggestion (which I would have dismissed weeks ago). Now, it signifies a new beginning. Views and opinions hinder us from gaining personal experiences. I hope the dear reader finds an analogy in my words and sees how different a world we could live in if we were open to each other's perspectives. Even if we don't agree, accepting it as a possibility can make a significant difference. #design #designcommunity #photoshopart #creative #creativedirector #adobecreativesuite

Hi everyone, I'm super excited to announce Portfoliwoah, an open-source platform designed to facilitate the sharing and discovery of personal work by designers and developers across various companies. The goal is simple: make it easier for designers and developers in industry to find, appreciate, and be inspired by others. The idea came about when I was making my portfolio to showcase the work I had been doing. I wanted to showcase my passion for design through my portfolio but was having a difficult time figuring out how I wanted it to look. I'm a big fan of the design philosophy of Vercel, so I figured that checking out the portfolios of their design team would be perfect to help get my creative juices flowing. Fortunately, a quick Google search led me to a page on Vercel's website dedicated to the design team. However, when I tried to find a similar page for companies like Notion, Linear, and Airbnb the results were less than favorable. I figure having a unified platform for anyone to post their portfolios, projects, and more from across the industry would be beneficial to a lot of people. At the end of the day, Portfoliwoah is a simple idea that tries to solve a simple problem. I would love to hear what y'all think, and if you have an idea or suggestion, open an issue or PR! https://lnkd.in/dJAtmV-A Thanks for reading!

Inspiration is a Time Machine 🤖 When you get an idea, and just get started you can get so much done in just a little bit of time. Days can become hours. ⏱ One of my past projects is a brilliant example of it. In late 2020 I quit my job at an agency. I didn’t have a lot of clients back then that were reaching out. So there was little work to do. At that time I was more focused on creating things that I liked and didn’t necessarily care about impressing clients with my work. I just liked to experiment, work on my taste and test new aesthetics. When I found out about the refraction slider in octane it hit me. Refraction is the thing that makes the light split into a colorful spectrum with transparent materials. I was fascinated by this look and got lost in it. I iterated and fine-tuned different scenes and time flew by. I got so much done within only two days. Within these 2 days, I had the whole series set up and uploaded it to Behance. It got featured. And completely blew up 🤯 48.000+ Views 4.400+ Likes 100+ Comments 30+ Job Requests It’s still (by these measures) my most successful project. And I could only get it done because I went with the flow and followed the inspiration that hit me. Don’t put it off - if you’re inspired, put that fuel to action. Otherwise, you will never know what could have happened. Did you ever have a moment where time started to fly? When was that?

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 This design isn't just an illustration—it's a story, a reflection of our individual paths. Let me take you through it.( I have added tags in image below for easy understanding) 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 path represents the 𝑗𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒. It's not a straight line, but a series of peaks and valleys, each one shaping us in unique ways. The zigzag pattern signifies the ups and downs we all experience, reminding us that every high and low is part of our growth. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 symbolize the 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑏𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑠 we encounter. These challenges might seem discouraging, they test our strength, push our limits, and ultimately, help us grow stronger. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 it represents 𝑎𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑢𝑎l—full of potential, brightness, and the promise of a fresh, vibrant life. As we navigate through life, moving forward through these obstacles, we reach new heights. The broader orange path ahead signifies the 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 awaiting us. It's wider, representing new opportunities and new horizons that come with personal and professional growth. When you look closer, you’ll notice that my profile image is seamlessly connected with this journey. This connection is not just a design element but a statement—I'm a part of this journey, just like you. Every design tells a story, and this one is a testament to the strength, potential, and continuous growth that defines our lives. 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬: Dont just design anything, try to give your art a meaning, a story. That will enchance your career and backbone to your artistic skills, As we know people dont by art they buy the story, the experience that art brings to them. So next time just drawing random shapes calm ýour mind and create something. Have you ever experienced a dip in inspiration when starting a fresh project, with the pressure to kick things off hanging in the air? They say “Inspiration gets us started, but consistency keeps us moving“. While consistency is important, I find that motivation and inspiration have a key factor in the way we START working towards our goals, because the first steps are always important. Whenever I’m feeling low on inspiration, it gets difficult to be consistent, not having any idea on HOW to move forward; what the first step is. I found that consistency is not that difficult, if the inspiration part is not being taken into account. However, I feel like on every new project, there is a specific anxiety that pressures us to start asap. And this can be very counterproductive. In such times, I often turn to diverse sources of inspiration, exploring new design trends, immersing myself in captivating (analogue-) photography, or discovering new music. How do you navigate these moments to boost productivity and maintain consistency? Let's share strategies for keeping the creativity going and ensuring every project gets the attention it deserves. #inspiration #workethic #consistency #frontend #webdevelopment

🔨 Considering Adding "DIYer" to My Skills 🛠️ I've been reflecting on the various skills that define me both professionally and personally. One skill that I often overlook but am deeply passionate about is being a DIYer. From home improvements to creative projects, my DIY adventures have taught me invaluable lessons in problem-solving, resourcefulness, and perseverance. ✨ Why DIY? - Creativity: Tackling DIY projects lets my creative side shine. Whether it's building furniture or crafting decor, I find joy in turning ideas into reality. - Problem-Solving: Each project presents unique challenges, pushing me to think critically and innovate. - Hands-On Learning: There's something incredibly satisfying about learning by doing. Every project adds to my knowledge and skills. - Resourcefulness: Working with limited resources and finding cost-effective solutions are skills that translate well into any profession. - Perseverance: DIY projects require patience and dedication—qualities that are essential in both personal and professional settings. As I think about how these experiences shape who I am, I wonder if "DIYer" should make its way into my skills section. It's a testament to my ability to learn, adapt, and create value out of passion and necessity. 🔧 What do you think? Should we embrace and showcase our personal passions and hobbies as part of our professional identity? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! #DIY #Skills #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #Creativity #ProblemSolving #Resourcefulness #womenintech #hiringbias
