Augmented Reality in Entertainment, Well that has been in everywhere but today I took a step forward to improve my skill and at the same time to celebrate the anniversary of my favourite movie franchise StarWars. #Maythe4thbewithyou.  The inspiration behind choosing May 4 as the Star Wars Day is the popular line from the series, "May the force be with you". The line is often used by Jedi masters in the movie as a sentiment of goodwill.. As I am a astro lover this movie represents the different universe along with different species and their characteristics. Even NASA relates this movie concept to real space foundings which is more inspire. This franchise holds a special place in my heart after Marvel , Disney and Pixar. To celebrate their accomplishment, As my small part as a fan I created a simple Augmented Reality Application using Unity and Vuforia SDK where when a Star Wars Poster is detected which is kept as Image Target the 3d models of Famous star wars characters will be pop up. Developing such applications is more fun and creative and also helps to boost my knowledge . Any other #SILO fans out here? Check this out! A 3D artist recreated the bunker from the series with #unrealengine and #blender, looks pretty realistic and nice. I've been thinking a lot about the future of entertainment use cases - I mean at some point we should be able to re-live amazing storytelling and participate (i) in our favourite series in VR, not just watch it from 2D screens. Why not meet the characters and be in the center of events, like as if you are actually there. Other Apple TV+ series which would look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G in VR are of course #severance (ping Lumon Industries) and #foundation! The first has superb office labyrinths, there is definitely need for the Macrodata Refinement simulation as a job task, imagine the breakroom 😵 as well as the small goats. As for the latter - even the opening visuals of Foundation are worthy of VR experience, not to mention visiting Trantor, the Empire, fly with the jump ship to the water planet and meet Hari Seldon. The Next Generation of 3D Creation Engines are going revolutionize game and VR creation. The new engine will not compete with incumbent engines but will aim to be 10x better for a specific use case and unbundle the current engines. It will focus on a specific genre or art style, optimise the engine for a new platform like XR or Web3D, and reimagine 3D world building with new consumer-facing tools. The lines between games and film/TV will continue to blur, and with a 10x easier creation UX, we'll see a cambrian explosion in content diversity.
