After a well-deserved break even if I do say so myself, it's time to get back in the game! As I consider my next career move, I'm reminded of the importance of learning from past experiences. When evaluating potential opportunities, there are a few key factors that I have taken into consideration. First and foremost, I need to know that the company is stable and trustworthy. Without a solid foundation, it's impossible to build a successful career. Additionally, I look for organizations with a clear strategy in place. It's important to know that I'll be working towards a common goal with my team. Of course, the product or services offered by the company also plays a critical role in my decision-making process. I want to be sure that I'm joining a team with a product / service that's ready to take the market by storm. Finally, I need to evaluate the senior leadership team. Are they competent and capable of delivering against the strategy? Will they support me in my role and help me succeed? With all of these factors in mind, I'm happy to say that I've found my next opportunity! I've ticked off all the boxes on my list and am excited to see where this new adventure takes me. Starting a new job can often be a daunting experience, especially when it comes to tackling the first major task. Despite having the necessary skills and knowledge for the job, it can feel like everything is working against you. From dealing with repetitive bugs and technical glitches to encountering deployment issues, it's not uncommon for things to go wrong during this initial phase. This can be frustrating, and it's understandable why some people may start to feel like they don't belong or suffer from imposter syndrome. However, it's essential to remind yourself that you were hired for a reason and that you are more than capable of overcoming any challenges that may arise. Stay confident, and focused, and take things one step at a time, and you'll soon find yourself settled into your new role.

I start my carrier as research scientist

Started my position as a Case Resource Manager.

Familiarity with a challenge makes navigating it easier, so as I find myself on the job search once again due to the worst real estate market in 20+ years thanks to an unexpected layoff on Friday, I’m looking forward to a few things that I know will happen as I start the process today: · Meeting with leaders and innovators building great companies – Connecting with the people that are starting and/or scaling organizations with real product-market fit and demand. We’ve all seen how many innovations came out of the last economic downturn – it’ll be no different this time. · Time for personal growth – It’s a great opportunity to truly evaluate the areas I want to improve in professionally and personally, and how those will align with success in my next opportunity. · Reconnecting with friends and former colleagues – Conversations with my incredible network of connections always lead to fresh insights and new perspectives. Knowing great people is one of the most valuable assets anyone can have. Here’s a short list of what I’ll be bringing to my next role: · Expertise in strategic and technology partnerships, direct sales, customer success, marketing, and product development. · Proven ability to lead go-to-market initiatives effectively with cross-functional discipline. · History of partnering with executives and senior leadership to drive results, uncover new revenue opportunities and forge strategic alliances that align with the vision of the organization. I'm eager to speak about new opportunities as I look ahead to what’s next. As always, I truly appreciate the support and guidance from you all. 

My thoughts on things to think about when considering taking on a new role.

Hi All, I have finished my long stint with Fujifilm. Its been a long roller coaster with lots of challenges, role change etc. Has been a professionally fulfilling journey achieving some significant cost savings, process improvements, coaching and mentoring staff and better quality Balance Sheet. A journey that ended after handling a series of M&A : Integration Projects. This has not only enhanced my skill set but also enabled me to achieve successful integration, cost savings and synergies. I am eagerly looking forward to my next chapter

The path forward to success is through customers (no-duh). Not using them to grow but helping them and having growth as a by-product of true positive impact. That's really easy to say, but exactly how? Well first, you need to be engaged with them, in some shared purpose, like using your product or service (another no-duh). Note, getting them to be customers in the first place is very hard, but let's assume you have a few. Then what? Next you need some way to figure out what they really need (often not what they are saying...). To do that you need empathic, business-minded teammates who are smart enough to advise clients but humble enough to realize they are always learning so they listen. They know what to listen for. They know what to ask about. Summer Boyd was a great teammate (Lev, a Cognizant Company) who helped us grow in this very manner.
