🌟 Spotlight on our Summer Interns 🌟 This week, our talented summer interns Courtney Barrett, Marianne Carman, Raj Patel, and Tyler Poole took part in several professional development sessions at the office. A highlight of these sessions was a Lunch & Learn, where they had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with our co-founders Johnson Cook and Timothy Sheehan. From insightful discussions to real-world advice, our interns gained knowledge and inspiration. We're proud to support their growth and excited to see the amazing things they'll achieve!

Time for a career story spotlight! Today, we're featuring Anita Jas, who started at Greenlight as a Backend Developer in Billing and Compliance. After just a year with Greenlight, she was promoted to a Senior Engineer role. Read on for more from Anita ⬇ What made you want to transition your role? Re-platforming the billing system for a company like Greenlight is vital not only for ensuring impeccable revenue recognition but also for navigating complex challenges that demand intensive brainstorming and flawless execution. The stimulating environment, caliber of work, and supportive colleagues were key driving factors. What makes you most excited about the work you're doing now? Solving problems in distributed systems is immensely fascinating due to their inherent complexity and scale. The most rewarding aspect is seeing these solutions come to life, enhancing the system's efficiency and reliability, and knowing that the effort contributes to the broader goal of contributing to the Greenlight's success.

Last week was one to remember ✨ 🏀 We were so proud to sponsor the She's Got Now girls basketball camp during the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) All-Star Weekend, hosted by Atlanta Dream power forward Cheyenne Parker, sports influencer Jenna Bandy, and Wanda Durant. We also got a chance to meet 150 campers and their parents and serve on a panel with other luminaries in business and sports. On the panel, we shared how women's sports help shine a light on the pay and wealth gender gap. (Did you know that only 1 in 10 women say they fully understand investing?!)
