We take recognition at BI Worldwide seriously. As you can see from Cile Lucas's inspiring post from her experience! We don't have a one size fits all approach...personalization matters. From one person to the next and one company to the next. #biworldwide #yourculture #yourgoals #yourstrategy #yourresults
In Minneapolis this week with part of the HPE Recognition Team at BI Worldwide Headquarters to talk about recognition strategy. The theme for our session is "let's go crazy" , inspiring us to think drastically different about how to shift the recognition program to further drive and enhance culture, high performance, engagement, tech talent, and retention...all through inspiration and meaningful moments. And what awesome personalized gifts we received. My eyebrows are on point in my personalized pop-culture portrait! Thank you, Kathy Gunn, for being such a great hostess and pulling together such an inspiring agenda for our session. Maria Detling, CMP

When it comes to showing recognition for the good work people do, bigger isn't always better. Sure, accolades and awards can be great. But have you ever had someone tell you how grateful they are for you? No spot lights. No LinkedIn post. No blasting it on the company email chain. Just one-on-one, Telling someone how special they are. Now that's something people never forget. You see, Many managers think showing recognition has to be this big public occasion. They'll go through all the trouble to show recognition, But won't take the little step to thank someone privately. Here's a groundbreaking thought ... do both! Do the big stuff sure, But remember it's the private stuff that feels really meaningful. Some great ways to better show appreciation to your team: https://buff.ly/4bHvMKq.

My kids eat fruit as a snack, and I think that’s a win. It’s not revolutionary, it’s not unique to me or my family, but it’s a win and I’m proud of it. When I see them do it I tell them it’s a great choice, and that I’m proud of them. Why is this on LinkedIn? Because celebrating wins is always the right thing to do. Tell your team when they’re doing well. It doesn’t have to be some giant act of recognition saved for only the biggest wins. In fact, I would argue that if you only recognize your team when they deliver on huge wins, you will deliver them less frequently and slower than if you had celebrated wins along the way. Pro tip, if recognition for your team isn’t formally built into your standard work or on your calendar as a recurring item, it should be 😊 Carrie Burke Logan Burney Matthew Knight Noah Levin

Join us in a round of applause 👏 🏆Introducing Core Value Award recipient David Gonzalez for Innovative Spirit. “My Innovative Spirit is born from being in the maintenance department. We have our customers, rig crews and operation teams — we must fill their needs. We’re the ones that they call when they’re in trouble. We’re the ones that solve the problems, provide the solutions and have that Service Attitude. That’s where Innovative Spirit really comes from because we can’t say no, we need to solve their problems. I like to be part of the solution to everything.” The Core Value Award recipients were nominated by their fellow employees and selected based on who strengthened H&P’s inclusive culture and exemplified our core values — Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, Teamwork and Do The Right Thing in 2023. Happy Thursday, everyone! Today, let's celebrate our team's achievements this past year and look forward to what the new year holds. As we wind down the year, it's important to recognize the hard work and dedication of our teams. Whether it's completing a major project, implementing a new technology, or simply improving our processes, every achievement contributes to our success. Share highlights from the year – big wins, successful projects, or even personal growth stories of team members. These celebrations not only boost morale but also attract potential candidates who want to be part of a winning team. Looking forward, discuss your goals for the new year. What new projects are on the horizon? How will your team continue to grow and innovate? Giving a glimpse into the future excites current and potential team members about the opportunities that lie ahead. Let's take a moment to celebrate our achievements and look forward with optimism. Here's to a new year filled with more successes, innovations, and a strong, united team.

Getting buy in from Senior Leaders about Diversity and Inclusion can be tough. Especially if you only offer them the following: - Panel Events - Celebration Meals - Award Ceremonies Instead engage them by: - Changing their minds - Getting them to self reflect - Interrupting their old behaviours The former lasts one night. The latter can last forever. Share this post if it resonates.

Thought for the Day: Celebrate the Wins "The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." - Oprah Winfrey Today marks a significant milestone in a project at work. It’s taken us over a year to prepare for and multiple years before that leading up to this step. In practice, the change will be minor. There’s little risk and multiple contingency plans if something should go wrong. But the significance of the moment is huge. You could sense the heightened levels of energy the last week as the team ran through what was about to take place. We were all doing what we could to ensure that nothing was missed. The level of scrutiny from our leaders had reached hyperdrive. As we wrapped up our preparations and space opened up in our days. The meetings leading up to this milestone came off the calendars and were replaced with new meeting. Our time and focus quickly shifted to all the remaining work that is still to come (there’s a lot of it). In fact the majority of my thoughts this morning are not about the accomplishment in front of us, but about the next problem we need to solve. It’s on to the next thing because there’s always a next thing. There will always be another problem to solve or another milestone to strive for. Striving towards something has a ton of value and merit, but if we do that at the expense of celebrating the wins along the way we miss the point. Take time to celebrate when things are worth celebrating. Acknowledge the work that has been done before we move on to the next one.

The galas, It was quite an eventful night. I had the moment to catch up with people on meaningful convos. It was also a time to showcase one's aesthetic moves on the dance floor. 🕺💃 I had dart game challenge with a colleague [a fellow soldier in the field in another city]. The major highlight of the night for me was the presentation of awards, while it may seem like a night of fun and entertainment, there's actually a lot of value in gala night hosted by companies. I gained the following insights: 🤳Awarding your staff is an important way to show them that their efforts are valued and appreciated. It's also a great way to motivate them to continue performing at their best. 🤳When employees feel recognized and rewarded for their hard work, they're more likely to feel invested in the company's success and motivated to do their best. 🤳It also help create a positive work culture, where employees feel encouraged and supported. And, of course, the recognition can go a long way towards making your employees feel good about themselves and their contributions. And these can lead to better collaboration, increased productivity, and a stronger sense of teamwork. You need to see the moments I captured below. 😁 Dear Chemical and Allied Products Plc My Kindest Regards for the opportunity. 🙏🏽
