Greater Mental Health of New York’s Post

Greater Mental Health of New York is proud celebrate #Juneteenth! Juneteenth (June 19th) recognizes the end of slavery and specifically commemorates the events of June 19, 1865, on which the news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas and freed approximately 250,000 individuals who remained enslaved there. Our agency is closed today in honor of Juneteenth. We are excited to commemorate this critical turning point in American history tomorrow at our annual Juneteenth celebration with staff and individuals engaged in our services.
