The session examined non-profits from three perspectives. First, the market scope or the size of the sector worldwide and anticipated growth rate. Second, the Social Progress Index and how non-profit organizations are involved in providing for basic human needs, foundations of well being and opportunity. Third, how non-profits are performing as measured as by the current state of organizational excellence or Global OE Index. Descriptions of several high performing non-profit organizations were shared so participants could appreciate the return-on-investment available by using an excellence model.
