For any Salesforce Admins working with CPQ and running into issues determining when a quote calculation is complete. Just had an idea that my amazingly talented developer Charlie Faber executed on for me. For context, our use case was preventing a user from submitting a quote for approval before calculation is complete: When a CPQ job runs, it creates or updates a record called a Record Job with information on the CPQ process that is running in the background. You can query for the Record Job with the ID of your quote. If a status is present on the record job, go based on that, else pull the related Apex Job based on the Job Id listed on the Record Job and check that Apex Job's status. In this way, you can see if there are any calculation jobs in process. Items to note: Salesforce will not create another record job if one already exists for that Quote. It just updates the existing record. There is also a slight delay between triggering recalc and the creation of the record job(2 seconds or so), so you may need to account for that depending on your use case.
