Fresh eyes: Approach every new problem with new ideas. Don't be afraid to brainstorm and don't eliminate potential solutions without good reason. I am where I am by finding novel solutions. * Students aren't getting hired? Field trip to a job fair. * They show up to the job fair in shorts and sandals? Provide information on thrift store shopping and conservative attire to make an impression. * Test scores are lower on certification exams than on their practice tests? Bring in a psychologist or social worker to talk with them about conquering test anxiety. * Recruitment is down for your class? Start visiting high schools, job fairs, and start working with job placement agencies for worker retraining. My work is by no means perfect, but I am committed to continual process and self-improvement.

Why are we so obsessed with JOB FAIRS it’s something I have always wondered As soon as you talk about a job fair or about someone with a job application platform, students get very excited And I understand why sometimes, it’s because a lot of us think the more opportunities we apply to the stronger chance we hold to get an opportunity But what a lot of do not realize is that it is not how things work The reason you are able to apply for 100s of jobs is because there are 100s of jobs available and so the challenge is not the lack of opportunity but rather the lack of awareness on the right process needed to get those opportunities A big part of it is the mindset and realizing what is important and a priority vs what is secondary So next time, don’t just jump to it because it’s a job fair but because applying and starting to send out applications- network, grow your brand, identify your purpose and communicate that to attract the right opportunities So that you are going into it prepared and aware and not just seeing it as just another job on the market where you do not even know much about the company Because guess what, when you do taht, it’s very easy for the company to also to treate you the same I.e., just another candidate out of 10,000 others And when you don’t receive a rejection email so complain of how the company does not do their part but think about if you did your part as well I am not saying they are right but I am saying we are sometimes ourselves not doing what is needed but still expecting What are your thoughts? Have you been guilty of applying mindlessly to opportunities just because it’s another one on the market #students #tips #reality

Helping YOU Increase Your Influence and Visibility | LinkedIn Marketing Coach & Trainer | Content Creator | Keynote Speaker | Self Publisher | Queen of the Karaoke Microphone
I just attended my first Job Skills’ Job Fair in Mississauga today as part of the Job Skills Marketing team, and boy, was it an incredible experience! 🔥🔥 It's not every day you get to be in a room filled with so much potential and ambition. From eager job seekers to passionate employers, the energy in the room was contagious. Whether you're a startup looking for innovative minds or a well-established company in need of experienced hands, job fairs are where you’ll find them. It's like a treasure hunt for the next great addition to your team. But you know where my mind went to? 💡🤔 Job fairs are not only about the hiring. They're a great opportunity to boost your brand's visibility...and you know I’m all about the visibility!😁 By having a booth or table at a job fair, in just a few hours your company can shine in front of hundreds of attendees, not to mention the ripple effect if you post about the event on social media.👍 Plus, the chance to network with other professionals in a relaxed, yet energetic environment is invaluable. So to all the job seekers and employers I met today, your drive and dedication were truly inspiring. And to those thinking about attending or exhibiting at a job fair, I say go for it! The connections you make and the exposure you'll gain will be well worth it. 🙌 If you've had a positive experience at a job fair as an employer or as a job seeker, share your story below. Let's celebrate the achievements and the relentless pursuit of growth, together. 📈 😊 😎 And BTW… Job Skills has some really cool programs and resources available for employers and job seekers alike, so give them a follow to learn more about the services they offer. #JobFair #Networking #visibility #YorkRegion #PeelRegion #CareerGrowth

The prevailing economic landscape, the job market appears to be facing significant challenges. The endeavor to obtain a job offer becomes notably intricate, particularly for those seeking sponsorship or possessing OPT work authorization. However, I encourage you not to lose hope. Keep applying for relevant positions and grow your professional network. One way to do this is through job fairs. I came across this one in Irving, Texas, and thought of sharing it with you all. Hope it helps! #jobfair2023 #northtexas

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my exciting experience attending the Eastmont Holiday job fair last Friday with Jennifer Perry. It was a day filled with networking, learning, and newfound inspiration. Here's a glimpse into my day: 🤝 Networking Galore: The job fair was a bustling hub of professionals, recruiters, and job seekers. I had the chance to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and industries. It was amazing to see the power of networking in action. 💼 Exploring Companies: The job fair had a wide array of companies representing different industries. I spent time exploring booths, learning about company cultures, and discussing potential job openings. It was eye-opening to discover opportunities in unexpected places. 🤩 Inspiring Conversations: Some of the most memorable moments were the inspiring conversations I had with fellow job seekers. It's incredible how a simple chat can provide new perspectives and valuable insights. 🧡 Overall, attending the job fair was a fantastic experience. It reaffirmed my belief in the power of networking and continuous learning in our career journeys. I left the event feeling more confident and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. If you're on the lookout for your dream job or simply exploring career options, apply now at our website www.rmc.com/careers. It's not just about finding a job; it's about discovering your potential and connecting with the vibrant world of opportunities out there. I attended a "Skillbridge Expo" on base today. When I arrived they asked if I had been to one before, and I told them I had not. They told me it was just like a job fair, something else I have never attended. I left feeling like I didn't leverage the event to its full potential. There were some new companies and job fields there, but I didn't prepare the right questions, and I wasn't sure what I was looking to get out of it. For these types of events, Job Fairs and Expos, are there any keys to making them more successful? - Do you hit each table regardless of whether it seems in line with your job search? - Are there specific questions you ask each table? - Do you give contact / business cards here, or is that a different forum? - Is it meant to make contacts and set further conversations, or is this mainly a "sampling" forum ? Anything else I am missing? As always, thanks for the advice and insight!

"Ever thought of job fairs as speed dating for hiring? You meet a candidate, sparks fly, but they move on to the next 'table' before you can seal the deal. How can you become the company they're eager to revisit? It's all about making a lasting impression. From engaging conversations to showcasing your company culture, be the standout option they can't resist saying yes to for round two! #HiringTips #JobFairs #StandOutEmployer"
