We are delighted to announce that Kendra Lutz has joined Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska as our new Grant Writer. A native of Palmer, Nebraska, grew up on a farm and graduated from Palmer Public Schools. She studied Human Services with an emphasis in Social Work at Southeast Community College, and Human Relations at Doane University in Grand Island. Previously, Kendra was a program officer at the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation. In her role at the Foundation, Kendra manages community and educational initiatives, including the Scholarship Program, Field of Interest grants, Discretionary grants, Nonprofit Excellence Institute, Excellence in Teaching, and the Youth Philanthropy Board. Kendra is a graduate of Class 38 of Leadership Tomorrow and a Grand Island Chamber’s Top 35 under 35 in 2024. Kendra has been a member of the Grand Island H.E.L.P. Initiative and the H.E.L.P. Leadership team, Grand Island Housing Coalition, Hall County Early Education & Care Coalition, Heartland Council, National Scholarship Providers Association, PEAK Grant Making Organization, Eyes of a Child Committee, LB1184 MDT team, & Juvenile Comprehensive Community Plan Team. Kendra is a member of the Saint Libory Catholic Church, volunteers in her local 4-H programs. Kendra enjoys spending time with her family, watching Husker sporting events, cooking, and being outdoors. She and her husband, Ben, reside in rural St. Libory with their three children, Bexley, Brixton, and Banx.
