🌟 We're thrilled to congratulate Ben Clement, our outstanding Stacker, on being named Employee of the Month! Let's dive into a quick Q&A to learn more about Ben's and his contributions: 1. Can you tell us a bit about what you do? Ben: "I check and maintain the integrity and wetness of cardboard on the factory line. I have to self-manage my time and allocate enough to ensure the checks are completed to the highest company standard and are a proud product that the company would put forward to clients." 2. What does this job mean to you? Ben: "It means I can safely go to work and learn new skills while creating lasting friendships in the workforce. After 12 years of being a chef, I get to have weekends and nights off to spend with my family, which means more than the world to me.” 3. What is your favourite thing about your job? Ben: "My favorite thing is that I can learn new skills and move up in the workplace chain. I feel like a valued member of my team and I look forward to coming in each day and being treated with respect and integrity." Ben, your dedication and positive impact on the team haven't gone unnoticed. Cheers to you on this well-deserved recognition! 🏆👏 #EmployeeOfTheMonth #TeamSuccess #CongratsBen

During the last off-site, I received three mugs as recognition from my colleagues and the company. It’s challenging to get one mug, so how did I manage to receive three? Follow these rules: - Help your colleagues. A team must progress together; if all teams advance, the company advances. Offer your help continuously, regardless of which team it is. Don’t wait for them to get stuck; keep in touch with your colleagues, ask how things are going, and if you see difficulties, try to help them as soon as possible. Focus on unblocking the problem; don’t put it on the back burner. Finally, thank them for even giving you the opportunity to participate in solving the problem. All of this improves teamwork and team-building, fostering a positive atmosphere. - Appreciate your colleagues' work. When a colleague has done an exceptional job, publicly acknowledge their effort, highlight the difficulties they faced, and recognize the skills they employed. Public recognition gives you a boost of satisfaction and motivates you to work harder and better. - Be positive, kind, and friendly, especially in tough times. It’s easy to be happy when everything is going well, but during a storm, you need to stay calm, encourage, and support each other. In conclusion, the mugs were not for my individual contribution. They were for appreciating my colleagues' great work. They have appreciated teamwork and help, and finally, the rest of the company has applauded this way of working. In other companies, I’ve seen constant backstabbing between departments, nobody takes responsibility, and problems escalate. I’ve even seen departments hinder others to gain an advantage in the eyes of higher-ups. This only breeds resentment and hatred. You never know who or when someone will betray you. I thought most companies worked like this, some more, some less, until I joined Lingokids. Thank you to my colleagues from the bottom of my heart ❤️ for making me happy while working.

Designing the smartest way to optimize your time and stay in touch with your network @ trickle.ai | Product Marketing Manager
Guess what, folks? On June 25th, I'll be celebrating my 3 month anniversary at Trickle! 🎉 👉 Did you know that the three-month mark is a pretty big milestone when you start a new job? You'll begin to feel that you've understood the problem area, figured out the team dynamics, and gained confidence in your responsibilities. A little story from the trenches: I remember walking into the office on my first day, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, full of excitement and anticipation. My dynamic duo of coworkers, Mike and Cameron, were already brainstorming ways to make the world a better place while I was still trying to figure out where the coffee machine was (not that I needed it, but Mike practically has an IV drip of the stuff). Mike, our fearless CEO, is a master of many trades 🦸♂️💥 Need an answer to a question? Mike probably has it before you're done asking. He's like a caffeinated superhero with a (mostly) great sense of humor, the kind of leader who makes you feel like you're part of something big. Cameron, on the other hand, is our resident wizard 🧙♂️🔥 No, seriously, he can make code do things I didn't even know were possible. I once saw him debug a problem so fast, I swear his keyboard started smoking. But don't let that fool you - everything has to be meticulously organized, and I half expect him to start sorting our conversations into pivot tables. Together, they've helped me navigate this exciting journey, and I couldn't ask for better partners in crime. Here's to more adventures, more breakthroughs, and more terrible jokes in team meetings (we really need to work on our stand-up routines). Thank you, Trickle, for an incredible three months. I can't wait to see what the future holds! 🚀

Let's give a round of applause to this month's Shield Spotlight recipient, Carly Tessmann! 🎉👏 Carly has been making a huge impact at EcoShield with her dedication and hard work. Want to know more about Carly and her incredible contributions? Keep reading below! 👇 🔹 When did you join EcoShield & what’s your position/role? I joined our “OG” Chicago branch in 2017 when I was just a little 21-year-old baby looking for a place to settle! I started out as a Start Tech and worked my way up to a Reg Tech, Field Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and now a General Manager of the Chicago North Branch! 🎉 🔹 What is your favorite part of your job? Everyone thinks it’s cheesy when managers or employers say this, but it truly is the people I work for. 🛡️💙 I love coming in each day with the goal to genuinely help my employees. I pride myself on creating as diverse and inclusive atmosphere as possible at my branch and our employees truly feel it! 🔹 What's one thing you would tell someone who was thinking about working at EcoShield? Do it. Even if you have some doubts, push those away and just do it. 💪 🔹 If you could pick just one, what would your "spirit bug" be? Hmmm. I would have to choose a honey bee! 🐝 I am super docile and just want to do my job all day every day! I won’t sting, as long as you don’t come after me or my people. 😜 🔹 Who would win in a fight: you or a Tarantula Hawk Spider Wasp? Pshhh it only sounds scary. Just give me a 25-foot pole and I’ll knock their nest right down no sweat. 😅 Maybe give me a bee suit first... or at least a can of wasp freeze. 😂 🔹 What's your secret talent/a fun fact about you? I have an identical twin sister! We are both managers in pest control. 🐜🚫 Not only is it rare to have women in pest control, but two identical twins is crazy! To be a fly one the wall at our family gatherings... it’s quite entertaining so I’ve been told. I guess it runs in the family! 👯 🔹 What is one word you would use to describe EcoShield? Life-Changing. 🙌

Are you supporting your team's specialties? Last night, we celebrated our daughter's best friend's 5th birthday with a family dinner. As the table was set and the food laid out, there was a buzz of excitement. The 'favorite' family dish, lovingly prepared by our friend's mother, was about to make its appearance. Not only was it delicious, but we also got a take-home bag at the end of the night! This experience made me think about the unique specialties each team member brings to the table. How do we best support them in showcasing these strengths? Much like that favored dish, our work methods are a blend of ingredients and processes. When these are harnessed by a specialist and shared with the team, we ensure that their valuable contributions are savored and appreciated long into the future. So, I'm curious: What unique 'specialty' does each member of your team bring to the table, and how are you nurturing these talents?

Happy #CustomerServiceWeek to all my support friends out there! 🎉 🙌 A majority of my roles have been in Customer Service since I started working part-time at 16. (Fun fact: My first job ever was hostessing at Perkins Restaurant 🍳 ) With all of that experience, I think I have a pretty good idea of what exceptional customer service looks like and I truly believe working in CS has made me a better person. I'm more patient. I'm kinder and more understanding. I've learned how to communicate more clearly and directly. I say, "thank you" A LOT and ask other service workers how they are because I know how exhausting Customer Service can be. I also know how rewarding it can be. It feels good to solve problems and lead others towards success. To me, great customer service means leaving your customers in a better place than when they arrived. I'd love to hear your thoughts: What does good customer service mean to you?
To wrap up #CustomerServiceWeek, today's spotlight is on Maggie Portzline, Technical Support Team Lead at Greenhouse 🎉 Her journey to success is marked by clear communication, active listening, empathy, and a solution-driven mindset. Maggie believes in ensuring customers leave feeling supported, heard, and valued—a true hallmark of exceptional service. Behind her is the Greenhouse CS team, a group of knowledgeable and caring individuals who embody teamwork and collaboration. Together, they are the dream team that makes every customer's journey memorable! 🌟 #CustomerServiceAppreciationWeek #JourneyToSuccess #GrowingWithGreenhouse

I've seen a lot of these lists floating around to celebrate the new year so here is my 2024 In and Out ranking! Out: - Single use water bottles (duh!) - Illicit discharge in your community. - Losing talent to other industries. - "That's how we've always done it." - Scarcity mindset. - Gatekeeping. - Littering. - Burnout. - Headphones that hurt your ears. - Restaurants that don't have free bread. What's on your list this year?!? 😎

Managing Director at Aditya Group | Working Mother | Entrepreneurial Enthusiast | Mompreneur | Crafting Stories & Strategies
The other day, while waiting for my coffee in the office pantry, I stumbled into a chat with one of our newer team members. It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks and overlook the wealth of diversity and insight within our own walls. This team member, though from a completely different department and background, opened up a world of understanding for me. Our conversation danced from fresh industry trends to heartwarming personal stories, creating a bridge between our varied experiences. It served as a beautiful reminder that our own team is a treasure trove of knowledge. There are lessons to be learned in every corner of our company, from every individual – if we're just willing to pause and listen. To that wonderful colleague: Thank you. Our coffee chat reminded me of the depth and breadth of expertise that resides within our team, often waiting to be discovered. To everyone reading: When was the last time you had an unplanned, enlightening chat with a colleague? I encourage you to seek out these moments; you might just be amazed at what you find.
