Being “under-titled” is worse than being underpaid. You may hear, “what only matters is how much you make”, or “titles don't pay bills”. A title shows appreciation for what you do, thus how your value is perceived. Value may be in the eye of the beholder, and titles convey enough for many. Some benefits are better than monetary. That's why folks spend money for pleasure. Experience is worth more than the cost. How can you take advantage of this fact? Specifically, how to enhance your business? 🎯 First use case is your marketing efforts Show customers the pleasure they will experience from using your product. Make the value seem like a no-brainier. Common example is bundled onl. courses. Bundles, in general, serve to increase the perceived value. 🎁 2nd way to exploit pleasure is gifts We're all aware of the law of reciprocity. If you give someone the right present... Their affection towards you will grow... They will feel the need to give sth back. 😁 3rd way is employee benefits These can be future/probable earning potential, instead of a bigger salary. This isn't immediate monetary benefit, btw. It can be end-of-the-year bonus, or a lifetime commission from clients. Other non-monetary benefits include: - Company car - Reserved parking space - Flexible work hours - Great company culture - Location and more... There are more examples for sure... Future Faking Statements: is a term to describe a manipulative behavior in which one person makes promises or commitments about the future to entice or gain favor with another person, but with no intention or genuine plan to follow through on those promises. It 's intent is to create a sense of hope or expectation in the other person, leading them to believe that positive changes or rewards are imminent. Future Faking Statement "Listen up, everyone! I have some exciting news for you all. We have Implemented a new bonus structure. If we can increase our production to $X amount there will be a big bonus waiting for each one of you! Trust me, it's going to be substantial. So, let's work hard, push ourselves, and hit those targets. The bonus is just around the corner with just a little more effort. In this example, the future faking statement is used to motivate the team to increase their productivity. The promise of a big bonus acts as an incentive for the employees to work harder and achieve higher production numbers. However, there is no details on how or the specific details about the bonus amount, how it will be calculated, or when exactly it will be awarded. Without clear and concrete information, everyone will feel uncertain about the actual likelihood of receiving the promised bonus and whether the efforts put in will be genuinely rewarded. This type of future faking statement leads to disappointment and decreased morale if the bonus fails to materialize as expected. What are other examples?
