To conclude our May programming, we co-hosted a program with Network of Engaged International Donors featuring Kristen McGuire from the Global Fund for Women, Johnny Tohme from the Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism, Stanislava Stancheva from The Christensen Fund and Sara Lomelin, CEO of Philanthropy Together. The conversation focused on the power and potential of #collaborative funds, touching on the importance of pooling resources for systemic change, fostering #trust between donors and activists, and prioritizing community voices and #intersectionality in funding decisions.

As we strive for a more just society, it's crucial to critically examine how philanthropy operates. Decolonizing nonprofit fundraising means embracing inclusivity and rejecting outdated models that perpetuate harm and inequality. By acknowledging historical injustices and redirecting resources to traditionally exploited communities and the leaders that come from them, we can drive lasting change. It's time to rewrite the narrative of giving and create an equitable future for all. 🌍#InclusivePhilanthropy #DecolonizeGiving #EquityInAction

#philanthropynews🗞 ✍🏾Feminist Philanthropy: Dismantling silos and raising long-term funding. As we navigate the power imbalances in philanthropy, it's crucial to dismantle silos and commit to long-term funding for those on the front lines. Black women and girls have been driving social justice causes, yet funding often falls short due to a 'white savior' mindset. 🔗 Read more about the challenges and solutions in this movement: https://lnkd.in/gDEpqtaA

Your nonprofit resource manager, helping maximize financial and personnel resources so donor dollars go further.
Incorporating equity and inclusion in revenue diversification is a vital approach that nonprofit organizations are increasingly embracing to ensure that their funding sources and practices align with their values of social justice and equal opportunity. This strategy involves not only expanding revenue streams but doing so in a way that addresses disparities and inclusivity within the organization's operations. #cnrgaccountingadvisory #equityinfunding #inclusivenonprofits #diversifiedrevenue #socialjusticefunding #communityengagement #financialinclusion #equalityinfinance #nonprofitdiversity #fairresourceallocation #sustainableimpact

Excellent report on the call to support trust-based philanthropy, specifically to invest in women and nonbinary leaders of color in their efforts to drive social change. The report addresses the power dynamic prevalent between funders and nonprofits as well as the need to urgently address burnout and isolation of women and nonbinary nonprofit leaders. The report calls this an “imperative” to invest in and demonstrate genuine care for these leaders.
In thinking of #GivingTuesday, who we give to and how matters. Women and nonbinary leaders of color have been at the forefront of nearly every successful social movement, yet remain woefully underfunded and are experiencing a crisis of burnout. They need more than pocket change. Today, we released our new report, Living with Pocket Change: What It Means to Do More With Less, which examines the impact and real-life experiences of chronic philanthropic underinvestment in the leadership of women and nonbinary people of color – and issues a call for care-based philanthropy.
