Stage 4️⃣ of our beneficiary selection process - The health and well-being of our beneficiaries are integral to their educational journey. Upon joining the S.H.E. Programme, many of our beneficiaries face barriers ❌ in accessing healthcare services, leading to limited medical check-ups 🩺 and doctor visits. The routine health check examinations that we conduct play a crucial role in the bespoke support we provide to our beneficiaries. These examinations allow us to identify any potential health challenges or learning difficulties that they may be facing, enabling us to address and overcome these obstacles effectively. Based on these findings, in collaboration with medical professionals, we develop tailored support plans to ensure the continuous health and well-being of our beneficiaries. By implementing these plans, we ensure that all our beneficiaries maintain optimal fitness and good health, empowering them to excel in the classroom 📚 and beyond. #securehopeempowered #impact #education #consistency #GirlChildRights #catalystfoundation #educationmatters #EmpoweringCommunities Catalyst Care Group

Widespread use of generic patient education in healthcare systems worsens issues related to low literacy and hinders endeavors to ensure fair and equal care. When creating health education materials, it’s crucial to factor in cultural diversity and customize information to align with the cultural norms and preferences of the intended audience. Inclusivity extends beyond just visual representation; a genuinely inclusive organization comprehends the varied needs of its served populations and actively strives to address those needs. #healthequity #healthliteracy #sdoh

📖I recently read that health literacy is something that healthcare providers are concerned about. Having a high degree of health literacy allows a patient to make correct decisions about their health care and work their way through the health care process. 🩺It also mentioned that health literacy does not just impact patients who are from lower socioeconomic levels. Nearly 9 in 10 adults have difficulty understanding what is talked about at a doctor’s appointment🤔. Oftentimes, patients are not familiar with the medical terms and how the body works! 👂Additionally, if patients have hearing loss, this can make things even more difficult! 📖At our clinic, we make sure to treat all patients as individuals. We cater the language used in appointments to the needs of the patient to make sure they understand what we’re discussing. Sometimes I even ask patients to explain things back to us to make sure they understand!👍 #CommunicationAccess #BetterHearing #HearingLossSupport #Speech #Language #SLP #speechtherapy #Hearing #Collegeville #Brownstown #PremiereSpeechHearing
