I have spoken to digital agencies that said they thought about utilizing OTT & CTV, but heard it is expensive. It is not. I have spoken to direct advertisers that said they would love to run on streaming services and apps, but heard it is expensive. It is not. CTV viewers more likely to watch streaming ads. Connected TV viewers have a 13% higher attention index than when watching linear TV and 74% more co-viewing, per a TVision survey commissioned by LG Ad Solutions. Interesting to see - UK broadcasters develop free digital TV service to take on streaming - I’m really excited to see how new ad models will be introduced and whether as a digital agency we can get involved. 15 per cent of us do not plug our TVs into an aerial — we apparently prefer to use broadband to watch via apps such as Netflix and iPlayer — but that this number was forecast to grow to 50 per cent by the end of the decade. More TV is officially consumed via streaming services than Cable. Arb on this is big because big bugdets have not started shifting there yet. Whether it’s Youtube TV (aka google ads) A company like vibe(dot)co or something similar. It’s definitely something to lean into. Tested some QR code ads like that one from the superbowl ad a while back and it’s ripping. Recommend for anyone looking to test new placements. #digitalmarketing #marketing #paidads
