International Business Economics| Foreign Trade Uinversity| YSEALI Academic Fellowship 2022| Global Third prize Social Business Creation 2022
Participating in the Asian Young Leaders for Climate and the Environment (AYLCE) program by Common Purpose left me inspired by the remarkable efforts of #earthshotprize Finalists. Reflecting on the global climate action mobilization was truly thought-provoking. AYLCE involved impactful leadership and climate storytelling masterclasses, providing insights from companies leading innovative climate solutions. Thanks to partners like The Earthshot Prize, Temasek Foundation, and American Express, we engaged in Fireside Chats with industry leaders and attended workshops by Bloomberg, Singapore Global Network, and Honour Singapore. A standout lesson was understanding that driving widespread climate action is achievable by reshaping current incentive structures. It's crucial to find common ground and collaborate. If institutions can incentivize green efforts through innovative mechanisms, like reframing performance indicators, maintaining the status quo becomes less appealing. Special thanks to the incredible Common Purpose team for their unwavering support. Let's give Earth our best shot! 🌍 #ClimateAction #Leadership #AYLCE

Spent a meaningful and engaging day with participants of the Maritime Leadership Programme - a senior management learning journey jointly launched by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and SMU-ExD Executive Development. To address key issues facing the maritime sector - such as reduced global trade, climate change regulations, cyberattacks and piracy, and talent shortage - developing an innovative culture is key. It is not just about short-term survival, but about long-term thriving. Privileged also to glean insights and nuggets of wisdom from Andrew Tan, on the need to future-proof the sector through a well-calibrated approach to innovation. Leadership: the importance of trust In the Universitetet i Stavanger (UiS) master's course 'Leadership Challenges' students facilitate a co-creation process of defining their own leadership challenges and solutions. Today, Learning Team 2 delivered the self-defined lecture 'Leadership: the importance of trust '. For more information on our Master in Service Leadership in International Business, see https://lnkd.in/d8stNbih PS Our Erasmus students' contribution is invaluable. Unfortunately, we have lost many of our international students thanks to short-sighted government policies. Less international students in the classroom results in an inferior learning journey for our Norwegian students. Simples... Kunnskapsdepartementet Kari Nessa Nordtun Khrono

DIPLOMAT; INTERNATIONAL TRAINER & SPEAKER; CLIMATE CHANGE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT; LEADERSHIP; RESEARCHER; CONSULTANT; WRITER.
Goal serves as a regulator of action. In living organisms goal-directed action is seldom conscious and it is evident in the wild when animals stalk to take on their prey. The survival of living organisms is conditional. In order to maintain its existence, every living organism must take on specific actions to fulfil its needs. If it does not, it dies. I am happy to share that I will be speaking on the topic GOAL SETTING in a Career Growth Masterclass organized by Africa Impact Alliance Leadership Institute (AIALI). #goalsetting2023 #leadership #learning

Today I'd like to share the story of this week's change-maker in focus - our esteemed customer ArcelorMittal. The amazing results of their global learning initiative perfectly display that language is and should be strategic and that excellent communication skills within a global organization are key to success on so many different levels. #communicationskills #languagetraining #strategic #casestudy #changemaker
At ArcelorMittal, low levels of English presented a development barrier for individuals and the business, with opportunities lost through a lack of collaboration, poor knowledge transfer, and low levels of global talent in leadership roles. A critical need for language and intercultural communication training was identified by a senior executive at a gathering of the top 300 leaders, where communication was made possible only with interpreters – a real barrier to business success. The organization wanted a global learning initiative that was designed to agreed business outcomes, easily measurable, and understood by a global audience. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eaUH-Gdg
