How do you hire people that don't exist? In 2013 I was tasked with growing a ServiceMax practice. Problem was, at that point in history, you couldn't hire people with *Salesforce* experience, let alone a super specific (and somewhat arcane) AppExchange package. So what did we do? We hired people with Field Service experience--people who knew the process--and we taught them how to use/set up the technology. It worked, and we became ServiceMax's go to partner in the mid-market. Fast forward to today. I think a big factor leading to the rise of #revops is that starting with the process--with what the business NEEDS TO HAPPEN--usually leads to a better outcome than starting with technology. I joined Sweep because it allows people to who understand the process to build solutions *without* getting deep in the technology. PS - For all my Certified Admins and AppBuilders out there, Sweep also allows people who are Salesforce natives to "speak process" back to the business without getting a PhD in RevOps first.
How can we empower our junior Salesforce admins to take on more responsibility and become invaluable assets to the team? It's about providing strategic guidance, building trust, creating an educational environment, and leveraging tools (like Sweep!) that enable them to thrive, explains Tess G.. Last week I commented on Josh Nelson’s post and shared my perspective on pushing back on customers when you’re designing a solution. I received a lot of comments and thought share a follow up with how you do this. So how do you push back effectively on a customer? The how is based on trust. You need to build trust with your customer so they know you 1) understand their business 2) understand their business objectives (North Star) 3) are actively listening to them and 4) are you asking questions and allowing your clients time to consider the questions with thoughtful answers. I started my career working in a call center and the active listening tip has always served me well. As a consultant the best thing we can do is actively listen to our customers, they have the stage. Listen to their pain points, what works well, what they’re trying to accomplish and what challenges may be standing in their way. You have time to show them your awesome solutioning skills only after you have fully understood their perspective and shown empathy. #salesforce #consulting #empathy #activelistening #customersuccess
Salesforce Partner Entrepreneur, Passionate about elevating Nonprofits & Businesses on Salesforce at High Tide / Growth Minded Leadership / Mentor
The Salesforce partner industry is broken. Over half of our current business involves fixing broken Salesforce projects from "certified" partners, and it really upsets me that this remains the status quo. Marc Benioff and Salesforce deserve better. This industry has created so much opportunity, and consulting firms are ruining it. The sentiment towards the product continues to decline at the hands of the "partners" who claim they deliver excellence. Oversell and underdeliver - the GTM strategy for 95% of partners right now. I'm proud of High Tide Co for fixing YET ANOTHER broken project. This time in nonprofit land. Where minor data was exposed and searchable externally. Unacceptable. I'm furious that this keeps happening.. Repeat: Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Really interesting discussion here, I'd love to see Certinia partners weigh in with their thoughts and ideally, remedies! Personally, I've seen a lot of Salesforce admins attempting to administer partner implementations that they just don't understand due to either incomplete knowledge transfer or lack of expertise. Onus on both sides. What do you think? #salesforce #certinia #goodpartners #implementationissues

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant (Japan) | Trailblazer Community Forum Ambassador 2024 | 41x Salesforce Certifications | Blog: medium.com/@marketingcloudtips
👑 I've obtained a new certification 👑 I'm thrilled to share that I have successfully obtained my first Architect certification! 🚀 I used a benefit voucher from the Trailblazer Community Forum Ambassador 2024. I would like to thank the Trailblazer Community team and Bhavin Patel for providing this voucher. ================ By the way, I have an apology to make. About a week ago, due to switching my company's main email address, I encountered issues with my Trailblazer Account. All my "Answers/Accepted Answers (aka Best Answers)" and "Follows/Followings" within the Trailblazer Community were deleted. 💀💀💀 Additionally, I temporarily lost my "Forum Ambassador badge" and was unable to respond to questions from my account. 😱😱😱 Thanks to the diligent recovery efforts of the Trailhead support team yesterday, some data was restored, but all "Accepted Answers" and "Likes" on my responses were lost. I apologize to everyone who had previously given "Accepted Answers" and "Likes" to my responses. 🙇♂️ However, I will not be discouraged by this. I will continue to provide answers as before. I deeply appreciate the Trailhead support team for their efforts in recovering my account. #Salesforce #TrailblazerCommunity #AlwaysBeLearning #MomentMarketer

Founder and CEO at Technopath | Specializing in Nonprofit Cloud Certification Training and Hands-on-Simulation | Making Salesforce Consultants More Valuable Each Day
Here it is your Salesforce Saturday Roundup! Last week, we explored the future of user management in Salesforce, focusing on personas and permission set groups. We delved into detailed implementations for nonprofits, discussing why Salesforce is transitioning from profiles to permission sets. Big thank you to Matt Henry who showed us how he documents Permission Set Groups (PSGs) and gave us some real use-case tips. A key takeaway for me was learning about muting permissions within permission set groups. This allows for creating a permission set with full access and then muting specific permissions, like delete access, within a group. To catch the full recording, join the Salesforce Saturday LinkedIn group: https://lnkd.in/g5K8hD3 and check out the updated Vimeo showcase. P.S. Please note, there will be no Salesforce Saturday this week. However, the Zoom link will remain open for those who want to gather and do some Trailhead modules together. If interested, please comment in the Salesforce Saturday group or below.

🍂 An oft-overlooked maintenance issue could easily turn into a twisted labyrinth of thorny confusion for the unwary #salesforceadmin : naming conventions. When joining an org, it's wise to ask about current naming standards and procedures. If you're building the org, set the standards with stakeholders early on and encourage both buy-in and adoption from day one. Otherwise, things can grow out of control rather quickly... 🍂 Have any name-based stories that verge on the spooky that you'd like to share with Emily Witucki and me? Just leave us a comment, and keep the thread going! 🕸 #spookysalesforcestories #namingconventions #trailblazercommunity #salesforcebusinessanalyst
