🎉 Happy 16th Birthday to Pull Requests (PR) on GitHub! 🥳 It feels like just yesterday when I nervously submitted my first pull request during my time at Fullstack Academy. Back then, the intricacies of Git were intimidating, and I wasn't sure if I'd ever fully grasp it. Fast forward to today, and I'm proud to say that I'm in the midst of my year-long commitment to consistent code commits. Pull requests have become second nature, allowing me to collaborate with fellow developers and contribute to various projects. It's surprising to realize that I've been around longer than the pull request. As a Gen-Zer, many modern technologies have felt like they've been part of my life forever—because, in a sense, they have been. It wasn't until I got started in computer science that I realized how much room there is for growth. There's still so much to explore in the world of software engineering. We're constantly experimenting, refining, and debating the best methodologies. We still have a chance to define the field, and that's exciting. Here's to defining the future of software engineering together! 💻🌟 P.S. In addition to trying to figure out my own first PR (the first I can find is from November 2010); in reference to this milestone I spent a lot of time thinking about the many times I've been able to help people with their first open source contribution and successfully merged PR.
