Dr. Stewart Pisecco, CEO and Founder of Attend Behavior said, "The research literature is clear about the importance and effectiveness of structured family guidance, caregiver involvement, and which techniques and strategies promote better outcomes for children with ASD and other developmental differences. In the realm of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), embracing neurodiversity and trauma-informed care is pivotal for supporting individuals with developmental differences. Parent training plays a crucial role by equipping caregivers with essential skills while promoting acceptance of diverse neurological profiles and addressing the impact of trauma. This blog explores how ABA parent training fosters environments that celebrate neurodiversity, prioritize emotional safety, and empower families to promote healing and resilience. By integrating these principles, caregivers become advocates who nurture a supportive framework that respects individual strengths and fosters holistic development. https://lnkd.in/eZMh_PD4 #parenttraining #appliedbehavioranalysis #traumainformed #inclusivity

Behavior therapy Diaries: We wear many hats! “Everything has a reason, every behavior! Amanda J.Friedman” Being a therapist at the Early intervention center gives great insights into the entire range of services that are provided to the children with speech and other developmental delays. The main reasons why EI is recommended is - 👉 The play and pairing sessions give many opportunities to improve socialization and communication skills. 👉 The children avail benefits of peer interaction and develop their pre academic skills in the sessions. 👉 The repetition of routines on a daily basis of coming for play and therapy, having a snack together and participating in the activities provides the children with comprehensive support in all areas of development. 👉 Empowering parents is the main goal of EI and educational tools and strategies are shared through parent training workshops as per the needs of the child. At the EI center we also encourage the parents to seek formal assessment and a detailed diagnosis for two reasons. 🎈 There may be related conditions along with Autism for which other forms of therapy may be recommended. 🎈 The client may be eligible for Govt. financial benefits . One of our prime targets is improving specific behavior like communicating, overall academics, hygiene and motor skills that are needed to lead a successful life and enable the client to advocate for themselves when needed and having said that, as therapists , we have to wear many hats!!! 🌞 Having resilience and empathy when interacting with parents. 🌞 Designing child centered fun based sessions to facilitate learning as well as independence . 🌞 Maintain critical thinking skills to observe ,measure and record verbal /non verbal cues /body language of our clients. 🌞 Being the reinforcer for the client always ! #autism #autismawareness #autismacceptance #asd #adhd #specialneeds #autistic #autismmom #autismfamily #autismo #autismlove #memes #autismlife #autismspectrum #autismsupport #aspergers #disability #downsyndrome #autismspeaks #autismspectrumdisorder #autismparents #love #mentalhealth #actuallyautistic #neurodiversity #anxiety #inclusion #specialeducation
