Regular releases are an important indication of open source project maturity. In its just released Pieman release the Anuket project continues to align on cloud native platform and CNF compatibility. Our vision is that CNFs following the Anuket CNF requirements can be deployed to any platforms following the Anuket platform requirements without long and expensive integration process. We believe that an open CNF and platform specification is more optimal for the industry than vendor specific certifications or vendor specific requirements. OpenChain Telco SBOM Guide version 1 is out! Get it here: https://lnkd.in/dqSfQY6c Telecom industry is by definition multiparty. Equipment vendors sell software or provide services to network operators. Usually one operator uses multiple vendors and one vendor sells to multiple operators. This multi point to multi point setup of the industry means that we need lots of consensus and standardisation. Sharing SBOMs, the list of (open source) software components of the software along the supply chain is a requirement what we will need to fulfill. To align on the expectations of the quality of the SBOM naturally we need a guide for the industry. After several months of work and alignment in the OpenChain Telco WG we were able to build an industry wide consensus and build the first release of the OpenChain Telco SBOM Guide.
