Just your friendly reminder to keep your fur babies safe this holiday weekend! ~Avoid feeding them human food. Salty, fatty or seasoned food can cause digestive upset! Also, chocolate, raisins/grapes, onions are poisonous. Corn cobs like to get stuck and obstruct bowels! ~Make sure fresh, cool water is available at all times. ~Know your pet's limit when it comes to tolerating temperature. If you own a brachycephalic, like me, they can't handle high temps for almost any period of time. ~Look at the water before you let them come swimming with you! You want to avoid harmful alga blooms that can be toxic to dogs. HABs form due to a rapid growth of cyanobacteria, or blue-green algae, which is naturally found in lakes, rivers and other bodies of water. To prevent illness, try to keep them out of areas with discolored water, rinse them off after contact with any water and bring clean, fresh water for them to drink. If your pet becomes sick after contact with potential HABs, call your vet right away! ~Make sure your pet has proper identification on them. It's so easy for pets to sneak away during the hustle and bustle of activity. Whether its a tag, microchip or AirTag, make sure contact information is up to date to ensure a better chance that they can be returned home. I hope everyone have a super fun & safe holiday weekend!

Introducing food to your little one can be stressful time. Here’s a little nugget on weaning! 1. Three Stages of Weaning: - Stage 1 (from 6 months): This is when you introduce solid foods for the first time. Babies are typically ready for this transition around 6 months of age. - Stage 2 (from 7 months): During this stage, you introduce more tastes and textures. It's an exciting time as your little one explores different flavors. - Stage 3 (from 10 months): By this stage, your child is ready for even more variety and can start eating with the family. 2. Types of Weaning: - Baby-Led Weaning: In this approach, you let your baby feed themselves. It allows them to explore food textures and develop independence. - Traditional or Spoon-Feeding Weaning: Here, you feed your baby using a spoon. Start with smooth foods and gradually introduce chunkier or lumpy options. - Combination Weaning: This method combines both baby-led weaning and traditional spoon-feeding. Some meals use purees, while others include solid foods. 3. Signs Your Baby Is Ready for Weaning: - Sitting Upright: Your baby should be able to sit upright and support the weight of their own head. - Good Hand-Eye Coordination: They should be able to look at food, pick it up, and put it in their mouth independently. - Avoid Mistaken Signs: Not all behaviors indicate readiness. Chewing on fists, teething, seeming hungry, or waking up at night are not reliable signs. Remember, every baby develops at their own pace, so there's no need to rush. Enjoy this exciting phase of introducing new foods! 🥕🍎🥑 #toycradle #weaning #motherhood

𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒑 💫 A mountain of bottles, formula, vitamins and a prep machine - this is how part of our kitchen counter looks these days. I think we have about 14 bottles on rotation, and we do 2 bottle washes a day. The prep machine by @tommeetippeeuk has been an absolute life saver, especially for those night feeds. We are still on ~ 3 hourly ish feeds all day and night, it's definately hard work, I just have to remind myself that the sleepless nights are only temporary 😌 If anyone has any tips on implementing longer night time sleeps please let me know ---------- Bottles we use @mambaby_uk Basket @ikeauk Prep machine @tommeetippeeuk | gifted ---------- Thank you: @casa.de.castily 🍒 . #TwinFeeding #KitchenSetUp #TwinLife #ParentingChallenges #BottleFeedingTwins #FeedingRoutine #TommeetippeeUK #BabyBottles #TwinParents #NightFeeds #ParentingTips #TwinLove #TwinAdventures #NewbornTwins #TwinMomLife #ParentingJourney #BabyEssentials #TwinMagic #SleeplessNights #TwinBonding #TwinRoutine

**Keeping Your Pets Safe This 4th of July: Tips for a Stress-Free Holiday** As we celebrate Independence Day, it's important to remember that our pets may find fireworks and festivities stressful. Here are some tips to keep your furry friends safe and calm: 1. **Create a Safe Space:** Designate a quiet, comfortable area in your home where your pets can retreat if they feel anxious. 2. **Keep Them Indoors:** Loud fireworks can scare pets, causing them to run away. Ensure they stay inside to avoid any accidents. 3. **Update ID Tags:** Make sure your pets have up-to-date identification tags and microchip information in case they get lost. 4. **Avoid Harmful Foods:** Many holiday foods can be harmful to pets. Keep them away from chocolate, alcohol, and other toxic foods. 5. **Use Calming Aids:** Consider using calming sprays, pheromones, or anxiety wraps to help ease your pet's stress. Remember, a little preparation can go a long way in ensuring a safe and happy 4th of July for your pets. Enjoy the celebrations responsibly! 🎆🐾 #PetSafety #4thOfJuly #ResponsiblePetOwner
