#JGSCBSE #CONSTITUTION DAY Today we commemorate Constitution Day, a pivotal moment in our nation's history. This day celebrates the adoption of our Constitution, a document that serves as the bedrock of our democracy. As students of grade VI , let us reflect on the principles it enshrines—equality, justice, and the rule of law. May we recognize the importance of civic engagement, understanding that we play a crucial role in upholding and advancing the values that unite us as a diverse and vibrant society. Let Constitution Day be a reminder that the strength of our nation lies in our collective commitment to democracy and the principles that guide us.

Hello connection JECRC University launched a campaign #IPledgeto vote, about how important it is to vote for us, for our future. As citizens, we hold the power to shape our future through the simple act of voting. Every vote counts, and every voice matters. This year, I proudly take the pledge to exercise my right to vote and encourage others to do the same. Here are just a few reasons why voting is crucial for us and the generations to come: 1️⃣ Voice for Change: Voting gives us the opportunity to elect leaders who align with our values and priorities, ensuring that our concerns are heard and addressed. 2️⃣ Building a Better Tomorrow: By participating in the democratic process, we contribute to shaping policies and decisions that will impact our communities, environment, and economy for years to come. 3️⃣ Honoring the Sacrifices: Countless individuals have fought for the right to vote throughout history. Remember today is the last day to register to vote 🗳 Did you know I first stood to be a Green Party MP in the 2015 General Election? I'm not politically active anymore but have always stayed passionate about social justice; skills, equity and diversity - hence our work at 2-3 Degrees ... But a few weeks ago, at my first #UKREiiF session, all the way in #Leeds, I bumped into Chris White, former MP - having not seen him for nearly 10 years. All those years ago, I saw him perhaps once a week as we toured Warwick and Leamington Spa Consistency, participating in a wide range of hustings. Despite us being on the opposite political spectrum, our debates were always respectful, and he often referenced the sensible policy points I made, and I enjoyed getting to know him. It was a pleasant surprise seeing him at Meeting Place & Socius Social Value Symposium and learning that he authored the 2012 Social Value Act. The irony is that our 2-3 Degrees Youth Voice Programmes directly links to the Social Value Act principles and helps increase social value within the built environment sector. So huge well done Chris for laying the Social Value foundations all those years ago that have left a great legacy for organisations to work towards. Register to vote today🗳 #RegisterToVote #GeneralElection #socialvalue #builtenvironment #realestate #socialjustice #wideningparticipation #local #community

You Did you know that the U.S. Constitution does not contain an affirmative right to vote⁉️ 🗳️😳 State attempts to deny women, African Americans, students, former felons, Native Americans, and others voting rights span America's stormy history. 🫤 🇺🇸 Despite our differences, we all feel that American democracy can and should do better. 🙏🏿😢🙏🏼 Perhaps it's time for an amendment enduring the right to vote? 🗓️Join us Thursday evening for a special Hammer Forum: A Real Right to Vote with Constitutional scholars Richard L. Hasen & Erwin Chemerinsky. 🔗💻 For more info, visit: hmmr.buzz/realright. 📚 Richard L. Hasen, Director of UCLA Law School Safeguarding Democracy Project and author of the new book, "A Real Right to Vote: How a Constitutional Amendment Can Safeguard American Democracy," argues for a better democracy. 👨🏼🏫 Joining Hasen is Dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law and leading scholar of the U.S. Constitution, Erwin Chemerinsky.
