He dominated industries when he took control of General Electric.  He was brutal at managing talents. He is that smart manager. Not really the tech-savvy one.  He is someone most tech founders should or must have in their team. Just like when Google founders hired Eric Schmidt or when Mark Zuckerberg hired Sheryl Sandberg. That's Jack Welch. If you are running a business, as a founder or manager, you should study him. He is late, but there are millions of resources about him out there. Find time to study them. Sometimes talent and genius reside in the same person. Often we see genius in those individuals whose creative vision is so keen they almost seem like they can see into the future. People like this - I'll use Steve Jobs again to illustrate, because he's the quintessential genius example! - are able to observe something as it is today, and see its potential manifold if tweaked or used in a different manner. Today's tech geniuses can see inflection points that build on the transformative progress of the digital revolution, and envision what might move us beyond it. We need both talent and genius to grow.
