‘Salon’ is my word of the week.  In actual fact, the word ‘Salon’ came up with not one, but two of my Business Accelerator Mentoring (BAM) clients this week. It arose as a key marketing opportunity for each of them, but in completely different ways.  For one client, who had completed the 3-month BAM container of coaching, this idea came up during our completion session after we reviewed the amazing business that she and her husband have now stepped into since starting BAM.  Early in our time together, we had explored a number of unique ways for marketing and come up with hosting a Salon - not as in a ‘hairdressing salon’, but in the old-fashioned sense - a gathering of people for amusement, to converse, to exchange knowledge, to connect, and expand their networks, held by an inspiring host.  This Salon revealed itself as a unique way to create connections with interesting people and also as a way to introduce their business to their local regional community. Now their Salons are a regular and cherished feature on the social calendar.  And for one of my new BAM clients, we dipped into a way to connect with their ideal clients (once we had identified who they were).   Often I find when we get rid of the known and step into the unknown, we unearth new and innovative ways to market and spread the word. In this case, it was the more modern definition of salon we are used to. Yep who knew their ideal clients were located in beauty and hair salons - definitely not something that was previously on their radar. I can’t wait to see where this leads... And that’s a wrap for Dear Barber at Professional Beauty Group’s Barber Connect! ✂️💈 It was a fantastic show that proved to be hugely successful and equally demanding. Here are my top 5 key learnings: 🧵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵. This was our main aim of exhibiting as it gave us the perfect opportunity to meet our existing customer base and talk all things product feedback, innovation, education and much more. We also spoke with prosepective partners which is vital to our brand growth 📈 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘁: 𝘗𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺. Our Spin The Wheel game was a huge hit in attracting people onto our booth. It captured leads in a fun way and it was a great ice breaker too 🎯 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝘈𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵. From displays to flyers, to stock and hi-vis jackets – we had a list of over 100 items to check onto the van. We also set up a dummy booth in the warehouse. This meant we could play around with the furniture and props so we knew exactly how to set up the stand at the exhibition hall 📝 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨. It’s a chance to share knowledge, gain industry insights and build your network. It was great to meet Jake Xu and the amazing team at Shakeup Cosmetics | B Corp™ 🤝 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳-𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨.
