Inspired by TED Talks and the Harvard Business Review, here are the key takeaways: Understanding Sponsorship: Differentiating between mentors and sponsors is crucial. While mentors offer guidance, sponsors actively advocate for your career advancement within their networks (TED Talk by Carla Harris). Building Relationships: Establishing genuine connections is key. Focus on building both performance currency (your skills and achievements) and relationship currency (trusted networks and alliances) to attract potential sponsors (TED Talk by Carla Harris). Visibility and Credibility: According to the Harvard Business Review, visibility through impactful projects and consistent delivery of results is essential.
