✨ Empowering SDRs + BDRs | Sales Management Thought Leader | Survivor of Workplace Bullying + Abuse #iseeyou ✨
There are three types of sales managers AI is coming for: 1. The Antipeople Manager 🙅🏽♀️ 2. The Micromanager 🤢 3. The Figurehead 🙄 In chatting with the folks at Saleboat and Jake Wolpert this week, we went deep into the role technology can play in enabling reps with an assistant rather than creating a culture of micromanagement of compliance. Whether it be reminders / updates that would instead be covered in forecasting, pipeline reviews and 1:1s, tech could help managers win back more time to coach and develop rather than simply “supervise” the work. My take on this is the managers who miss the human component of the role become the ones replaced by AI/tech…while the managers leaning into the relational skills needing to drive higher performance can get time back + access better insights to support coaching and manager effectiveness. What say you though — what will AI mean for people managers? #ai #salesmanagement
From what I can judge, AI will definitely replace SDRs/managers who still neglect that AI is a great tool for various tasks.
but will AI managers still ask their AI reps to hit their KPIs Gabrielle “GB” Blackwell?
The micromanager... 😈 We gotta let AI take them over first and save teams from their BS. ❤️
Gabrielle “GB” Blackwell Shouldn't being "Anti-People" disqualify a person from managing people? I mean we know it doesn't sadly, but yeah.
"Hey, I don't wanna micromanage you, so can you just tell me exactly every single thing you hope to accomplish today so that I can then follow up with you ever 15 minutes to make sure it happens?" Cool thanks
Another great convo especially the last 10 minutes! I would love for AI to show me where to look, spend time and provide more support.
Great insights! AI empowering reps, not micromanaging, is critical. What specific coaching areas do managers focus on with this time shift?
Love this, I just hope you're right!

2moThe first one is an oxymoron imo! How can you be an antipeople manager and manage people? 🤔
